Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

In the middle of the Big Ten season with the best team i've coached at IU... i'm 23-1 (i've gone undefeated 3 seasons ago with an absolute superstar leading my team), with my one loss at Michigan... Had a revenge game against Michigan and beat them by 20. My starting SG put up 35 and hit 8 threes, he was only averaging 10 but he couldn't miss.. had my first 15 points.. My team was absolutely dominant like they've been all year.. i'm 23-1 with 12 wins vs top 25 teams, the 1 loss at #9 michigan.. 8 Big Ten teams are ranked and i've got 4 Big Ten games left... I'm number 1 in the country with almost no competition from teh rest of the field.. My team is 95 overall and i can score inside and outside.. My center averages 15 points and 9 boards a game.. My point Guard averages 16 ponits with 6 assists per game.. My SF is at 10 a game and my SG is at 10... Players on my bench can come in and put up 10+ on any given night...
Oh.. and i'll have the best recruiting class coming in next year with 3 AA's and 4 5*'s.
Hoping fora lifetime contract with IU..
Overall i've only won the title once.. gone to the champ game 3 times.. 5 final fours.. 7 elite eights.. and 8 sweet sixteens... 11 seasons in.. I built up a powerhouse in North Florida.. then took Indiana State to 2 straight final fours, losing to the eventual champ each time... finally won the title with Indiana with my superstar who was a 2 time player of the year, going undefeated once. He finished as the all time leading scorer in a season at IU... aroudn 25 a game... he was 6'8 SF who could take anyone to the rim and shot 45% from deep..
Well that wraps up my career so far

Really getting the itch to come back to this game and do a career legacy, but I promised myself that I'd stick with NBA this year. We'll see how long that lasts though.

Probably a good idea. I shouldn't have bought it, but I really love the gameplay. I'm not not really a fan of the NBA (at least not in the same way that I'm a college basketball fan), so its hard for me to get into the Association mode.

Well I just picked up the game yesterday and hopped right in it... Not the best idea because I'm 0-11 right now with Montana St. and I just lost my conference opener against Montana. We led the entire game until about 3 minutes left, next thing I know we only have a minute and a half to play and we're down 8.. A few more late mistakes and we lost 80-71. Despite all the losing, I really am enjoying myself and this game truly is the gem that everyone says it is.

I only play this game for career legacy. it's flat out addictive. Have any of you guys ever been offered a job at a Ivy League school?

Well... after bragging about my team, I lost the next game at home to Illinois by 1.. 74-73.. My perimeter defense was horrible all game and I just collapsed down the stretch, which is very unusual for my team....
Lets see how we bounce back against another top 15 team @ OSU...

21-5 on the season with Missouri. Currently playing @ Kansas and wanted to post my frustrations with how the first half ended. Up 27-21 with 2 minutes left & Kansas went absolutely berzerk, going on a 12-0 run to finish the half and ruining my good mood. I even tried to squash it with timeouts to no avail, nothing could stop them, I felt like I was placing a flimsy "do not cross" sign in front of a freight train.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Year 9 in the Legacy, year 2 at Gonzaga after a nice 7 year stint at Chattanooga. So far I am off to a 2-0 start. Neither win was impressive. Played two teams I should have easily beaten, but have only won by a combined 12-13 I think, near there.

The second game did have a highlight though. I was up 32-31 at half time. Came out in the second half and quickly found myself down 39-32. My freshman PG came off the bench when my starter picked up his 3rd foul. He had 3 points in the 1st half, but he took advantage of the situation and basically played all second half and picked up 18 in the 2nd half to take his total to 21 on the game and to lead my team to victory. The kid definitely earned the starting job next game.

In my other legacy I just started with Winston Salem State with the latest roster, they're the worst team in the game at 56. So far I am 0-4 after an embarrassing 40+ point loss to Wake Forest. Hopefully my team can pull out a few wins, but the worst team I play is a 61, still 5 points better than me.

Also, we're playing 16 minute halves in both legacies with game speed on 48 and player speed on 50, and we're still getting high scores. I know we kind of run a bit fast paced offenses, but I wish we could play 20 minute halves and get realistic results.

I don't see how some of you all can play 20 minute halves and get 50-53 scores. That'd be my score at half time.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I'm using 15 minute halves, with game speed 70 and player speed 32.

I ended up losing @ Kansas 80-68, which wasn't as close as the score would indicate. I made a late surge after the Jayhawks built a 20 point lead.

The frustrating part is we actually shot 51.7% from the field but Kansas shot 57.7%, including 8/15 from 3.

16 turnovers doomed me. Grrr, I even tried to cheese after falling behind and couldn't even do that lol.

Honestly guys, if you are getting too good at this game and want more of a challenge, I recommend Ehh's sliders and wish you luck. I was coming off of a double digit beat down home win against Colorado (they were 89 ovr vs my 90 ovr) only to get kicked in the teeth at Kansas (they were 91 ovr). I'm 2-6 after switching to these sliders and man I'll tell you it's humbling.
