Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***

That's pretty cool. It's dead here in the summer right now. EVERYONE went home for the summer. Boring as can be, haha. The Brass Eagle is no more. We have a Buffalo Wild Wings now though.

And it's not our time yet, but I am VERY proud of our fellas for putting together such a run at it this year. I'm still not totally counting us out just yet though. I guess that's the Cavs fan inside of me, haha.

If Varejao doesn't bobble LBJ's pass on the fast break... or doesn't take that atrocious spinning hook at the end... if we make any of our many wide open shots... then we win this game. But alas, it just wasn't meant to be. It cost me $50... but that's what being a moron will do to you, lol.

        ???

If I only had any clue what you were going for. The Spurs are more popular than the Cavs?

You mean the same way LeBron got away with running over Bowen earlier in the game.

If anything this is the worst thing that could happen. Now in the next game, everytime somebody looks at LeBron, the ref is gonna blow the whistle.

Maybe if they played better teams in the Finals they wouldn't be so low.

Seriously though,I think it's sad that nobody wants to watch the Spurs because they're not flashy. They may go down has the best team of this era,yet nobody wants to watch them because they're boring. That's crap.

really wasn't going for anything or I would have concluded the post with a comment rather than leaving it open-ended... It's nice to know that pretty much every time I post in this thread I get attacked by a few people. Hasn't failed yet.

That is what happens when the best player on your team shows no emotion on the court. Fans don't relate to Tim Duncan.

I don't see how anyone can be pissed it wasn't called a foul. If it was, it's only 2 shots, Spurs win by 1 and most will cry that the ref called a foul there just so the Cavs shoot 2 and lose. The NBA will never win with the Spurs involved. Face it, the Spurs know how to get the job done, they are one of the better run franchises and will continue to be in the hunt every year until the big 3 are seperated, which won't happen anytime soon.

It doesn't matter about it being 3 shots or 2 shots or 18 shots.

Fact is, he was fouled (NOT while shooting) so shots should have been rewarded.

The definition of a foul should not change team to team, player to player, quarter by quarter, or situation by situation.

Showing emotion can be a bad thing as well tho. I show emotion on the court, but sometimes I don't as well. I guess certain situations call for it... but nobody ever disliked someone more for not showing emotion on the court. Everyone who showed emotion on the basketball teams I played on were asshats with no self-control. A kid coming to TCU next year grabbed the basketball and kicked it into the upper deck seating after losing a sectional game in basketball.

One day Duncan will be revered, just as Bill Russell is, just as anyone who is, is. One day it won't matter what people said about him in 2007 or 2003 or 1997 or whenever... one day it will be what it will be (it is what it is)... Duncan was one of the (if not THE) best of his time and a top 20 all-time.

That was in the act...its called continuation...check the rules...but Lebron wouldnt have made all 3 of those freethrows anyway so...the refs saved him alot of trouble...
