i just wanted to point out that yes kobe shouldn't have forced up so many shots, and he does of the most dominant center in the world on his team, but even the best have bad days, and shaq was having a bad day. its not everyday where u see shaq shoot under 50%. along wiht shaq, the rest of the team couldn't but a shot, so i think kobe tried to make up for it, but as we all saw, 41 shots will not make up a team's bad game

Re: Kobe Bryant\'s Mentality
What Padgoi seems to be avoiding is the fact that Kobe made 19 of those 41 shots which is a good percentage, even though he missed a bunch of layups and STILL scored 44points! Noone else on the team was doing anything, including shaq who was having a subpar game himself. Anyways, if you wanna call me a Kobe "sack rider" or whatever, that's cool. Kobe is my favorite player and he is the best player in the NBA. You on the other hand are a pathetic Kobe *****, you hate him for no apparent reason and make comments like "Kobe is selfish, only plays for individual accolades etc etc....." And what do u back that up with? One Lakers loss to a very hot Spurs team?!? Maybe you hate Kobe so much because u can't deal with someone approaching the level of MJ.... anyways.Comment

Re: Kobe Bryant\'s Mentality
Padgoi is not avoiding the fact that he made 19 of 41 shots. He shot well for shooting that amount of shots. However, shooting that amount of shots is inexcusable! Mr. Skillz, all I want you to admit is that Kobe should have passed the ball into Shaq a lot more than he did. Shaq was being guarded by Malik Rose, who is 6'8. Shaq is 7'1. He had a ridiculous mismatch and he couldnt take advantage of it because Kobe was shooting everything. Plus, Kobe was being guarded by Bruce Bowen, the best defender in the game. How can you back that up? Skillz, you confuse me because seriously, you don't have any type of proof or evidence to back any of your claims except that your "favorite player is Kobe." Yes, MJ is my favorite player but to say that someone is approaching the level of MJ is absurd and you lose all credibiilty by making that preposterous statement. Furthermore, you ask me how I back up the fact that Kobe is selfish? My man, Kobe took 41 shots last night and literally FORCED HALF OF THEM!!! I respect the fact that you love Kobe and you will back him up until the day you die but I dont care how much you love him, when a man is a selfish ballhog, you have to admit it! I admit that in Jordan's heyday, he was a ballhog. But he had to be in order to make the playoffs because his second option was Orlando Woolridge. No one could guard Jordan, not even with a double team (sometimes with a triple team!). But Kobe has Shaq on his team, the most dominant player on the planet. And Kobe still finds ways to pump up 41 shots. Even PHIL JACKSON SAID, "I dont think Kobe taking 41 shots is effective. I think 27 is more realistic" or something along those lines. Skillz, you can insult me until the end of the world, that's your juvenile prerogative. But the fact remains that Kobe is shooting all of those shots not for the good of the team but so he can score his 40 points and try to break all types of scoring records. Your argument has no basis. I am backing every argument I have with proof. So insult me all you want but everyone here knows that i am the only one making any sense.Comment

Well.. I don't hate Kobe, but noone should take 40+ shots just to get 40+ points. The point being you'd rather have your support shooting a better percentage than yourself.
Players like Jordan and T-Mac understand this, and they know when to take their shots. If Kobe took 40 shots and the Lakers won, I wouldn't have anything to say. But 40+ shots on a loosing effort, and 7 TO's show that he was going for the 40 points.. not the win.
Go watch some sports shows.. all the experts say the same thing. 40+ shots is too much, no matter who you are. Best player in the league or not.Comment

Padgoi!!! it was ONE game, ONE game!!!!!!!!! I didn't hear you calling him selfish during the 7 game win streak. I admit, he forced too many shots in that ONE game. It was ONE loss and all of a sudden Kobe is a selfish ball hog!?! that's crazy.Comment
