You deserve to be blasted if you put Roy above:

Bron, Wade, CP3, Bryant or Howard

In fact those guys were just off the top of my head.

I could argue guys like Timmy, Dirk, PP etc. etc. over Roy.

Na I'm done with it unless the man who brought that nonsense into the thread cares to back his list.

nonsense? your so riduclous, what's the #1 reason for portland even contending for a playoff spot?

            Please don't make this personal

            Roy. What's your point.

Put him above the guys I mentioned and we'll have a discussion about it.

the point is Portland hasn't won this many games in 6 years and there's still like 15 games left. I think you made it personal cause your boy wasn't on someones list like it wasn't possible. Kobe isn't a lock for top 3 imo. I could see many people picking Bron Dwight and Wade

See this is what happens when you assume.

Please don't make this into a "you love Kobe" thing.

If you want to claim Roy deserves the MVP over any of the guys I mentioned I would be happy to discuss why that would be wrong. Other than that let's steer clear of trying to make it seem like I'm upset over somebody leaving off Bryant when I made it clear Bryant isn't even close to winning.

                Let me refresh:

                LBJ

                Wade

                CP3/Bryant
                Howard

Either make an argument claiming Roy belongs in that group or keep it moving.

it's argueable that roy means more to his team than kobe but not the other 4 guys

No not better, but this is most valueable discussion not who's having the better year. I believe durant is having a pretty good year but he's not a mvp candidate lol

Well in my view you have to weigh in team record to a degree, that's why no Durant and that's why Bryant has the edge on Roy.

Also Durant still wouldn't be a candidate because at this point he's primarily a scorer and doesn't do enough of anything else compared to the guys I mentioned.

Ok..Wade should not win the MVP.

                          Kobe's 05-06 season: 35.4 ppg Lakers record: 45-37 .549 winning percentage

                          Wade's 08-09 season (thus far): 29.9 ppg 36-31 .537 winning percentage

Both played on equally bad teams

Kobe did not win MVP that season

such a joke post on so many levels... Now we should ask of you, why make such a ridiculous statement such as... "he's a good player, but not an MVP candidate".

                            Just a good player?

That's hilarious. Not only is he the heart and soul of the Blazers, but he's brought a lackluster team to 2nd in the Northwest, and they are currently 18 games above .500. LaMarcus Aldridge is the only other "good" player on that team and he doesn't even do his part rebounding or blocking like a big man should. He hardly shoots better than Roy who's a SHOOTING GUARD.

Roy averages 23.0 pts, and shoots 48%, and is at around 4 and a half rebounds, and 5 assists per game. Only 4 other players shoot that efficiently, averaging that many points, and only Wade and James average better than 23/4/5.

Yer quality of posts have taken a huge dip lately DC. I'm terribly sorry.

                              A couple things:

                              1. Blazers are not a lackluster team. They were the pick of so many to take that next step this season. They have a great mix of talent and a great coach. Just check my thread I made a year or more ago claiming they would be a top 4 seed this season.

                              2. Aldridge is a borderline All-Star

                              3. Do you think Roy deserves to be All-NBA 2nd team or 3rd team?

Yea Roy is a GOOD player. Good doesn't mean bad or average. It means Good
