    To continue the trend of throwing out player names just because, I have a new addition: Chauncey Billups.

      Yea lets just name people not even in serious contention. At least you and Ex understand how ridiculous that is.

      Pac that reminds me of the time on SGG when there was a "Greatest Entertainer of All Time" post; and Mikey named Snoop; I am like WHY. He ain't even top 10 Why name him

        Yea Roy is a GOOD player. Good doesn't mean bad or average. It means Good

        A = Excellent
        B = Good
        C = Proficient
        D = Below Average
        F = Unsatisfactory

        What did I say wrong now?
        then I would give him an A... no way the Blazers are this good, and as ex carraba said a non-lackluster team without Brandon Roy... he's the biggest reason why they aren't lackluster ex... without him... I guarantee you that they would be 9th in the West (only because noone could be as bad as those teams that are worse than the Suns).

        if LaMarcus Aldridge is a borderline all-star, and therefore a B... Brandon Roy gets an A or an A-.

            I just want to make it clear: I think Roy is a special talent.

            I just don't like him in the top 5 this year. In fact I would have to think about putting him in the top 10, although I think he would be in my top 10 off the top of my head.

              Roy is a 2nd tier player. He isn't an A player. I mean if you want to use the plus and minus system, I might give him a B+ at best.

              Why are you still talking about what Portland would/wouldn't be doing with/without Roy? I KNOW what he does for that team and I have never once argued his value to his team.

              The A's in the League are
              Kobe
              Bron
              Wade
              CP3
              Dwight
              Duncan
              KG

              I don't see how you can honestly say Roy belongs in this group
              Concrete evidence/videos please

                Right they are making it seem like we said dude is a bum or something. I just said he is NOT a top 4 MVP candidate. SO because I think that, I just MUST think he is garbage or I must NOT KNOW what he does for his mob. Come on with the faulty logic fellas.

                Roy is a beast. I love his game. But he has NO REASON to be brought up in this post for the 7777777777th time

                  If the Blazers finish with the second seed I'd be tempted to change my tune, but even then I mean I would at best put him at #5 and boot CP3 out.. which is unthinkable to me at this point.

                  I mean I still look at Timmy and Dirk who have had to deal with pretty weak casts as just as deserving as Roy for consideration.

                      I have a hard time disagreeing except for K.G. but that's arguable.

                          I have to keep KG as an A type player. He changed the whole culture in Boston defensively (on court). His energy can't be calculated

                            we are also not saying that he should win the MVP trophy... Voters have to turn in a ballot of 5... in my opinion, only three names are worthy... LeBron, Wade, and Kobe... but beyond that... I really like Roy's contributions this year. I agree that he doesn't belong in that list of players yes... but MVP is more than being the best talent... it's not called "Player of the Year" for a reason. I like the efficiency and smarts that Roy plays with every game. He's super unselfish as well, and he won't turn into a blackhole on offense like we see Kobe do sometimes... and Roy doesn't even have Pau Gasol to pass to.

                                Only thing is I can't say Roy is having a better season than Dwight nor CP3. Dwight's rebounding and defense have taken ORL to a record that IMO is surprising.

                                CP3 is having as good or better season than last year where I believe he was a co-MVP. Also his team has less talent than the Blazers IMO. Yes West was an All-Star but we all know he perhaps was questionable pick. Outside of West, I SMH at what CP3 has to work with.
