Pisses me off that Detroit traded Afflalo for 2nd rounder. The Suns need him in the worst way, and he would have barely cost anything to keep on the roster. Argh!

I am amazed nobody is talking about Tyrus Thomas. His contract just got bought out by the bulls...He would make a fine addition to any team.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
I'm so so so happy about that trade. Can't believe we got Afflalo for just a future 2nd rounder. He's a great backup to have, he's young, he can defend 2s, he can handle the ball, he can shoot it deep.. great move by the front office. If Lawson isn't ready to contribute a solid 20 minutes, Afflalo can play backup PG for us and be a big upgrade from Anthony Carter. Plus Chauncey liked him and he's a great person for him to mentor -- having a veteran like Chauncey around makes it even more attractive to pick up cheapo young guards because you never know what you'll end up with in 2-3 years.
I don't know **** about Walter Sharpe. Anyone care to educate me? At least he's 6'9", that's a start haha.. can he rebound/defend, or is he a low post scoring type?
Walter Sharpe is very raw but skilled player. I would say he's more of an athletic face-up type forward who looks to take guys off the dribble as opposed to being a post player. Sharpe has pretty good handles to go along with a decent pull-up outside jumper, so he's adept at having the basketball in his hands and looking to create his own shots. I would not say that he's a willing passer at this point, but he could probably become one if he's given more playing time and get more touches during the course of a game. However, Sharpe is not a guy who one can rely on to mix it up inside for rebounds. And at this point of his career he still has a lot to learn as far as playing defense on the ball and off the ball.
