Yeah, Miami is just waiting for JO's contract to expire and try their hand at Bosh. If not they will go after Boozer...

They are a great sign and trade suitor because a lot of teams that might get rid of their 2010 stars are going to have to do it via sign and trade, and B-Easy is a good asset to move.

I have no idea where he would go, but Miami doesn't even have nice role players IMO.

Him and Bosh need to team up somewhere, whether it be in NY or Miami.

It's just going to be frustrating as hell next year seeing CP3 without Chandler and Wade without any help at all. Two of the best overall talents in the world surrounded with little to no help while the rich get richer around them.

I don't often talk too much about people going to New York, but I think Walsh is setting up a nice situation for a few good things to happen in the next two years. We traded away bad talent for cap space, but in the mean time, we've drafted well. Wilson Chandler and Jordan Hill are nice roleplayers, and Duhon will be an excellent back up if we can find a starter. If we keep either Lee or Nate, one of those guys will be a very serviceable roleplayer, either as instant offense or rebounding/finishing. Darko might even be a good roleplayer in D'Antoni's hands.

The nice thing is, we don't have anyone pseudo-stars. So if any of the big free agents do come to New York, there will be no ego or coaching issues. Watching what he's doing, I'm really starting to believe in Donnie Walsh's three/four year plan. I can see why a few guys would go to NY, but certain people like Wade have good reasons to stay where they are.

Barea was the 7th guy on a second round playoff team, and Wafer and Rafer were playing because All Star players in front of them were injured.

Ariza's inclusion is baffling. He was playing solid to good defense and was knocking down 48% of his 3 pointers. There probably isn't any team in history that he doesn't see solid minutes on the floor playing like that.

Ariza baffling? He had one good playoffs. You're talking about his averages in the playoffs. His regular season averages are not mind-blowing. One could even say pedestrian. Would he have played over Michael Cooper, James Worthy, A.C. Green, or Byron Scott? Highly doubtful.

Forget Anthony Carter - I'll throw Linas Kleiza and Dahntay Jones in his place. Neither one of those guys would see the floor on a good team back in the NBA's hey day.

I know the younger generation has a short memory but surely you remember the bronze medal at the 2004 Olympic games. And are you telling me Bird, Magic, MJ, etc. would have been sweating bullets against Spain in the 2008 Olympics?

The 5th-6th option on a team had pedestrian statistics?

              Man, that's crazy.

They were the 7th and 9th men on Denver. I doubt you'll find a lot of studs at those spots on any team.

The 2004 Olympic team didn't win bronze because the era was bad, they won the bronze because they sent over the United States' C squad.

The Dream Team was the best possible team the US could sent. It contained all 5 first team All NBA players from 1992, 4 of the 5 second team All NBA players, and the 3 remaining players were Magic, Bird, and Leattner.

The 2004 team contained a single All NBA player from 2004 (Duncan). It contained 2 All Stars from 2004.

Of the 12 players from 2004, you had 2 great players (Duncan and AI), 2 All Star players (Marbury and Marion), 3 players who haven't made an All Star game ever (Odom, Richardson, and Okafor), and 5 players with 1 or 2 years of NBA experience.

In terms of MVP voting for the year each team contained:

              1992:
              1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 12, 12 (all 9 eligible players were in the top 13 candidates)

              2004:
              2, 9, 14 (3 of 11 received votes)

The 2004 team sucked because we sent a weak team.

                            spurs getting marcus haislip

The Spurs have agreed in principle to a contract with power forward Marcus Haislip, who has been playing in Europe since 2005.
The 28-year-old Haislip was the 13th pick of the 2002 draft and is considered one of Europe's best free agents this summer. His acquisition isn't expected to alter the Spurs' search for another big man, such as Rasheed Wallace or Antonio McDyess.

Loved this guy's game in college. I hope he sticks in the league for the rest of his career, glad to see him come back to the states.
