Re: Lamar Odom Contract Negotiations Stall?

What do you mean when Oden gets injured you can use Millsap? Dude's an undersized PF and that's literally the only position he could possibly play. Odom is larger and can even get put at the 5 for stretches against smallball teams. He's a much better insurance policy should Oden go down than Millsap would be.

Odom is definitely a better player than Millsap as of right now...I just do not like the dude. Millsap is undersized, but he is a bruiser. Pendegraph would be playing center (Agh) while Millsap at the 4...But Aldridge would probably have to play center because we cannot depend on second round picks.

Who the eff is Pendegraph? Ya'll still have Pryzbylla, who is the best backup C in the league (no 'Sheedo). I guess I just don't really see why you need another insurance policy for Oden and why that other insurance policy would be a guy who cannot play his position at all.

Just to confirm...Joel is our real starter. He has earned it. We need a insurance policy because Oden will probably miss a few games due to injury. Joel however...Has played all 82 games. Joel is the heart and soul of this team. And is IMO the most underrated players in this league. Oden however has not proven anything.

I am a strong believer in strong front lines. Odom would help us, but I like Millsap because he is younger...And I like his attitude. I would rather give a 5 year contract to a solid 24yr old role player than a soon to be 30 year old proven vet. I can see Odom getting lazy towards the last few years of his contract.

Have to agree with this. I Like Milsap's game alot as he is tough, and always give 110% but he can only play one position and he is undersized at that position. Odom would fit what the blazers need more than Milsap imo. Odom can get his own shot, create for others and play multiple positions. Right now BRoy is Portland's only creative ball handler on the team. He needs someone to free him up. Pritchard is having a below average offseason right now.......

23....The Heat when they had Wade, Odom, and Caron were one of my favorite teams to watch back in the day. They looked like they really enjoyed playing together.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

KP is having a horrible off-season. You do realize we are on plan B heading into C. The trade that put us at the 22 pick instead of 24th made no sense whats so ever. Claver would of been available at the 24.

You guys make legit points, and I could understand why you would think that way. I guess we will have to wait to see. There needs to be atleast a rumor if nothing else.

Nothing is going to happen if it does while the Milsap situation is still at hand.

If we sign Millsap we wont have to worry about it would we? lol. If we dont maybe take a look at Odom I guess. But I doubt he will want to come.

its ok for the lakers though when ever they lose a valueable piece some team always gifts one back. So in December expect to see Durant traded for morrison or something
