Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
ya NJ or New York or Chicago or Cleveland could give him a better chance to compete for a ring. The Knicks are right on the verge
Chicago maybe...but then all he has to do is win 7 championships to get out of MJ's shadow...maybe they can hire back Phil Jackson and Krause
btw, he could make about 30 mil more from a S&T than he would from signing outright...not that I think he would actually go to Dallas even though it is probably a better option than some of the destinations being stated in the mediaLast edited by ZB9; 06-29-2010, 11:40 PM.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I do not think the MJ shadow is a issue. It has been mentioned it would be a positive if anything. We'll see.
Also Cavs have mentioned several times they will not be involved in any LBJ S&Ts.Comment

but if they know he is leaving down the road, they might want an instant expiring in Dampier to clear even more cap room, a soon to be expiring Caron Butler, and/or a young player in Roddy B and/or this years 1st round pick Dominique Jones, and/or draft picks instead of getting nothing...and they might want to send him to the west instead of seeing him go to a main divisional rivalLast edited by ZB9; 06-29-2010, 11:48 PM.Comment

well they arent going to say at this point that they would be open to it, considering they want Lebron back

Gilbert didnt become a billionare by conducting bad business...if he knows Lebron is leaving, it makes no sense to settle for zero and not get some good assets out of itComment

Based on the rumors of how much power LeBron & Co have in Cleveland I think Gilbert loses just about all credibility he earned from his business endeavors."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
What we'd get back from Dallas would pale in comparison to the backlash Gilbert would take for trading LeBron. It's not like we'd be getting anything of real value back from Dallas.Too Old To Game Club

I'm saying Gilbert will never allow LeBron to get what he wants while leaving the franchise.

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
If the Cavaliers were to sign and trade him to Dallas, we'd get a marginal player or expiring contract and 1st round picks. That's what any team would give the Cavaliers for LeBron.
Same for any player who get's signed and traded.Too Old To Game Club

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
the Cavs wont get equal value if they are going to lose the 2nd best, and soon to be 1st best, player in the world...but it's about getting the best value back possible if they feel he is leaving anywayComment

Either way, out of the possible destinations, Dallas does present the mix of best packages.Comment
