Same thing was said about KD look how that turned out 🤷🏾*♂️ and no that's not me saying he's KD or will ever be on the level of KD but you can't teach that size and length. He also has potential and youth in his favor no way in hell I'm giving him up in a trade for a guy we can sign in a year.

KD averaged 25ppg in his 2nd season and played 40 min per game.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
We going with the good ol ESPN like agenda with this ppg mess. KD also played 74 games to Ingram's 59 in his second season.
25 to 16 wow such a big point difference, dude is 6'9 with a 7'3 wingspan, shown flashes of playmaking skills, plays defense but we're suppose to give up on him [emoji23]
Only thing holding him back is experience and health. Like I already stated no way in hell do I give up on this dude for a guy we can sign next off season and even if we don't land him oh well. I'm just glad your not running the front office of my team 🤷🏾*♂️

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Ingram will be fine.
He’s already down to 40% trash after being at 78% at the beginning of the year according to the “experts” here so by that metric, he’ll be at 8% at the end of next year.
Not going to put a ceiling on him when he’s only 21 and barely into his 3rd year.

Its the difference in being an all star to an slightly above average scorer.
And every front office in the league would trade Ingram for Kawhi.
And don't say then why haven't the Lakers yet. Give them time.
And if it doesn't happen it is because the Spurs don't want to do it.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Yeah actually 25 to 16 is a huge difference.

If someone wants to take the PG route and trade for Kawhi that's their prerogative. We aren't talking about every front office in the league, we're talking about the Lakers. As it stands the Lakers do not have to trade Ingram for him if he wants to be a Laker he'll be one next year with Ingram still there if they choose to ride it out for this year.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I wonder how many Milwaukee fans thought Giannis was trash after averaging 12 and 7 after his second season... or the Indiana fans when Paul George was out there finishing with 12 and 5.. I could continue to research people but in a world where we have microwave and instant messaging on an iPhone, it’s hard to preach patience.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Who said this? I'm sure nobody seen it from those two either, Kobe started out shooting air balls and T-Mac had to change teams they developed, can the young dude get some more time in the league first before we start spouting out "trash".

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Yet it's widely reported that executives around the league say the Spurs have to absolutely get Ingram from the Lakers because of his potential upside. Literally every report has been about how the Spurs want Ingram and other assets at a minimum? Again you're out here acting like dudes don't develop or something. Would you have said trade Giannis' after his second season when he put up 12.7/6.7/2.6 splits? What about even the dude we are talking about here Kawhi Leonard who put up a ground breaking 11.9/6/1.6. Let's break things down even more did you know the two I just mentioned didn't break 20 points per game until their 4th and 5th year in the league respectively (because for fans for some reason if you aren't putting up gaudy numbers day one I guess you aren't good or something). It's almost like developing is a thing. I'm not trying to attack you or anything, but I don't understand this mindset at all by fans. Again I go back to the Klay Thompson for Kevin Love trade. On paper Kevin Love would have easily been the better choice in that summer of 2014 because on paper 26/13/4 is a hell of a lot better than 18/3/2. Yet the organization avoided trading for a "sure thing" (mainly thanks to Jerry West) because of his belief on what Klay could continue to develop into and 4 Finals and 3 championships later here we are. I just don't understand this way of thinking like it's somehow wrong to believe that the talent you scouted could potentially be greater than what you trade for.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I think there is no way Kuz doesn't get better. His fundamentals and footwork are excellent and he's quick for his size. With more experience under his belt and more strenght he's going to be pretty deadly. He's also fearless and a competitor. He's got all the ingredients to become a really good scorer. When I watch him play, his footwork, his hook shots, his spin moves, all I see is dedication and hard work much like I would see when I watched Kobe play.Last edited by Vni; 07-13-2018, 04:30 PM.Comment

Yeah I'm just not nearly as high on Ingram as some of you are. Still think he can be a really good scorer, but as far as him ever being the type to draw the defensive attention of guys like KD, Kobe, T-Mac... I don't think that's in his future. Even if it was I don't even think he would be an aggressive enough player to tap into it.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I think what's stopping me from thinking star when I watch Ingram play is like natural fluidity in his movements. He's not that fluid or particularly quick on his feets. But he can do a lot of things pretty well, I think he's more of a piece of the puzzle than a real star. I hope he proves me wrong though.
