Again, I didn't say that they ruined the NBA. I said people want to see the best players on different teams. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are 2 of the best 3 players in the league, and Chris Bosh is top 5 in his position, and they are on the same team. So all of the people you mentioned do not solve the problem, because 2 of the best 3 players in the entire league, are on the same team.

How does it not make sense that people want superstars to play against each other and not to team up? There are superstars on different teams all over the league, but people hate the Heat because those superstars are all on the same team.

Because every dynasty has always had at least two hall of fame players at the same time and even though people pine for the "golden era", when the exact same things that went down then happen now, everyone has a hissy fit.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

It could've been Wade and Bosh, and then LeBron and Derrick Rose. Those are two great teams that could've been created from this scenario as opposed to one. That's a rivalry for the ages. The thing about the Golden Era in the 80's was that the Lakers had the Celtics bringing out their best. It has yet to be seen that this team has someone to bring that out of them. And to the casual fan (which is what we were talking about) they want to see that teams are competing and don't want to watch a 100-40 beat down which, to people who don't know basketball, is what this looks like.

You do realize you have a Yankee's avatar don't you?

No one's asking you to llike the Heat or like the way they came together. The thread is about the future of the NBA.

The 90's Bulls had the G.O.A.T. , a top 50 player, and the greatest pound for pound rebounder of all time. They were dominant and the league was never more popular.

People love a winner and people love to hate a winner. People are going to watch this team to see how it all works out.

              It's good for the league.
              Good job! Good effort!

Since I'm assuming you read my post which said "People want superstars to play on different teams" and then commented on my Yankee avatar, you realize that everyone who doesn't like the Yankees hate the Yankees and that you just proved my point.

Your point is devoid of fact seeing as though I just listed off names of stars on different teams in the NBA

The Wade and Bosh 1-2 punch was already in the discussion for ECF before they got Lebron, because they had the cash to fill that squad up with great roleplayers. People are bringing up all these examples that aren't related. When was the last time 3 of the top 10 scoring leaders all hooked up with one another in their primes via free agency? In their primes?

There are a lot of reasons people are thinking this is "unfair" or "lopsided." Please don't anyone pretend not to see why. Again, if you joined a fantasy draft league in a video game and saw that squad, most people would quit or call for a redraft. I don't think there has ever been three A class players on the same team. To clarify, by A-class, we mean top tier, top 3 in your position.

The casual fan knows that the Lakers have Kobe, the Suns Steve Nash, the Magic Dwight Howard, the Celtics the Big 3, and a lot of casual fans don't know about the Spurs because Tim Duncan isn't popular to those who don't watch a lot of basketball. So when they see a team that has two of the most popular players in the league and are now learning about a great big man, it will look dominant. I live in VA (a state with no professional sports teams), and if I ask 50 people who's going to win the championship, 40 will say the Heat. Why? Because they believe that they are going to dominate.

That's the appeal for some people though.

Three A-class players and the two best players in the NBA, imo. Even when the Lakers were a dynasty, Kobe was a top 5 player, but you never made a case saying he was the best player in the NBA. You could make great arguments that either Lebron or Wade are the best and now they are on the same team. When you throw in how everything went down, it's pretty compelling. Hard to see how it's bad for the league.

I do think that Lebron leaving as early as he did, it did to some irrepairable damage between the relationship of fans and star players however.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."
