" I'd be more intrigued watching great athlete Iverson try to score indoor soccer goals than seeing him try to re-prove himself in D League."

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
However, hold the bankruptcy proceedings. He is far from insolvent, at least in the real world, if not in harmony with his “nothing in moderation’’ lifestyle. Someone who cared a great deal for Iverson and grasped the extent of his habits, loyalties and generosity protected him to some degree from financial ruination, at 36, at any rate.
A person with a firm grip on the situation informs me Iverson has an account worth $32 million, a principal he is prohibited from touching until 55. In the meantime, it feeds him $1 million annually.
And you guys were acting as it were a fact. Perfect example of how manipulating the media can be.'Only The Strong Survive'Comment

He owes a great deal of debt and gratitude to whomever that "someone" is that the article mentions.Comment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
It's ridiculous how every time he says he wants back in the league some negative rumor always appears from nowhere, hindering whatever little chance he has at a comeback. I wonder why this report hasn't been all over the news like when they were claiming he was bankrupt with no solid proof?'Only The Strong Survive'Comment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
Vescey is a long known Iverson appolgist and his article lacks any followup questions to "his source" which is why his story is D.O.A. nationally. You cant be the lone wolf in the room without any real followup questions to your so called "source". Vesey also applies the pension arguement to Iverson but didn't to Antoine Walker when he blasted him. I wonder why? Is it because Walker called him out as a fraud 10 years ago? Yep, classic Vescey.I dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....Comment

You question Vecsey's credibility and by all means your entitled to, but I don't see you questioning the "he's bankrupt" rumors in the same manner. We live in a double-standard world. Consistency, my friend.'Only The Strong Survive'Comment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
And I could say the same about those rumors. Where is the proof? Because he did not pay the jeweler? Only Iverson and the jeweler knows exactly what went down. If Vecsey is a "long known Iverson apologist", then what does that make the ones who spread the rumor like wildfire?

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
The original bill was 375K in 2010. The jewler sued Iverson for the money. One it ballooned to 860K, the judge granted the store access to Iverson's Wells Fargo Bank Account for non payment. The money was not there so the judge had his account siezed and 25% of Iverson future wages garnished until the 860K is paid. That is not a little "tiff" or "disagreement" between two parties as you seem to think. Now compound that with the fact that his Denver mansion was forclosed on for non payment of a 4M dollar loan. Add in the fact that he is begging like a 2 year old in the toy store to get back in a league that no longer wants him. These are facts not rumors. When you combine these things, it feeds into the story of liquidity issues. Now bankruptcy doesn't mean broke. You file bankruptcy to restructure your debt. Scottie Pippen (110M), Antoine Walker (110M) Derrick Coleman (87M) have all done that and they are far from living under a bridge.
And if he was really broke like what the media said, he would be playing anywhere from a long time ago; not sitting at home(not getting paid) waiting for an NBA team to hit him with the veteran's minimum or a 10-day contract. Just from that comment you made about him "begging like a 2 year old in a toy store", I see where you stand. Consider this discussion finished.'Only The Strong Survive'Comment
