Man, I'm really debating whether or not to join this convo. CBA, son -- I don't know what you're talking about right now. Bubba Chuck played hurt almost his ENTIRE career. '05 Iverson wasn't a 'shell' but those injuries were catching up. Billy King NEVER got AI any help. Larry Hughes was supposed to be the sidekick he needed and never really developed into anything but a journeyman. They brought in Iggy to REPLACE him. If the team you played injured for, carried for 10 years, suddenly just wanted to toss you out -- would you not be offended? Billy King ruined that relationship. He always brought in some older player on the backend of their career (Mutombo, Webber, Van Horn, Kukoc) that really couldn't help in the long run. AI carried the likes of Eric Snow, Aaron McKie, Tyrone Hill, and Matt Geiger all to the mountain top. <-- Really lost my mojo with this so I'll stop. Forgot where I was going with this but it was very important

FYI: The reason teams aren't taking a chance with AI is not because he wants to be a starter no matter what, because he could (well at least last year) start for a lot of teams, but because he's had some personal demons in his life. He has had a gambling and alcohol problem these last few years and teams are afraid to take a chance with that. Those issues were on top of the fact that he was going through a divorce. Behind the scenes effect a lot more than we think -- like Rashard McCants -- that cat can still play with the best of them but teams are afraid because he's a thug. No team is really questioning AI's ability (well, maybe now that he's a little older) but the baggage kept him out of the league.
