Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
But for real, I still want to see Iverson give it one more go. After MJ he's my 2nd favorite player. I just don't want to see him go out the way he did. He deserves more than that.Comment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
It was his own attitude though.. the article says it all
Its not like he didnt have chances.. he didnt want to take advantage
Lots of guys super talented from Derrick Coleman to Isaiah Rider killed themselves off because of bad attitudesComment

Look at his stint with the Grizzlies.

Oh no doubt it's his fault but I still believe. Not sure if he'll get the chance.Comment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
I'm sure they do as there's some teams that require the services of a player like AI... or even Gilbert. But both are at home with little to no interest.Comment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
I refuse to believe that some players are being blacklisted. I just can't, especially seeing how there are still a few bums who have no business playing in the NBA still hanging around.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
With Rider though his game was dipping almost as bad as his attitude and off court problems. Gained weight I believe the last two seasons in the association as well.
Loved using him in NBA Action 95 though with the Wolves.Comment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
Yeah, that is true.
I was in the Barber Shop when I heard the newest story about him and of course ESPN had Screamin' A on there and I think he said something like "His 'Practice' comments could be a reason why nobody wants him".#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
Ai aint being blacklisted there is no collusion he did it to himself.. wouldnt concede for the betterment of anyteam he was on.
He was a great player but not a winner. Honestly he should have never been the guy.. in another breath he could have been a Chris Paul type and it would have made him a better and his teams more successful.Comment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
It's a bad example from a vet with the practice issue. Especially if you have a budding guard on your team. You'd love to have AI as a mentor and then you think about the off court issues and AI is quickly forgotten.
If AI comes back it will have to be a team where he won't be able to break the team chemistry. Teams like Miami, San Antonio, or Boston. Risks there are small if it goes bad. You let him go and move on.
But at this point who even knows what game shape AI is. Left Turkey with that injury and has been doing those charity games here and there. Saw some of those videos and he looked good but compared that pace and competition to the NBA is well, there is no comparison.Comment

Re: Allen Iverson : After the NBA
Is he practicing with the Hawks? I've seen a video of him playing with an ATL practice uni and playing scrimmage games against Hawks players.Link to my NBA 2K13 2010-2011 Roster:
