It's when the NBA became more about selfish basketball and getting points rather than playing good team basketball. Granted, you did still have the Spurs, so I guess you could knock that time frame back a year to 2003.

And I gave you the other reasons why in my first post.
I guess we were watching a different Nba.. you are entitled...

I'll admit that in the early quarters it could become a snoozefest. It really depended on who you watched. The Nuggets were just sad for a long stretch. Hell, if I remember correctly they were given out open tryouts at one point. I enjoyed the shows put on by McGrady, Vinsanity AI and Kobe. That Kings team was fun as hell to watch. That was a fantastic series marred by scandal unfortunately. those Pistons and Spurs teams were so damn boring to watch, but they knew how to win. It was a decent era imo.

Allen Iverson and Puerto Rico’s professional basketball league are engaged in exploratory talks about a possible deal for the 11-time NBA All-Star, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Iverson’s business manger Gary Moore has talked with Puerto Rico officials, and the league’s teams are discussing a bidding process to woo Iverson.

The Puerto Rican league, which starts its 30-game season in March, pays its stars about $20,000 a month, plus living expenses, sources said. The league’s commissioner is selling Iverson on the chance to work his way back to a possible return to the NBA.

I was wondering if Toine was still in the D-League, or where he was.

                He's still there.

Plays for Idaho Stampede with two other vets in Marcus Banks and Mikki Moore.

He was on the NBA Game Time podcast last year. Said some interesting things about the D League.

I saw him on something like 2-3 weeks ago

he was mentoring some of the guys in the D league, really nice and cool guy the way he was talking to the individuals

I think he could have a job in the nba on that front, not as a player, but definitely as a coaching staff person who works with younger players

Puerto Rican Team chose not sign Allen Iverson. He was going to be earning $5,000 per week. Man, if Scalabrine is on a team why can't A.I. be on a team?

Because Scalabrine doesn't act like a spoiled brat who doesn't get his way when he doesn't start.

In short, he's a good teammate who knows his role. Basically the complete opposite of AI.

Basically how poor the structure of the D League is and how the NBA doesn't support it as well as they should. Don't remember what else was said. Also had some suggestions on some improvements.

That article is some piece of work, I haven't read anything this sad in a longtime.

Truthfully, I would like to see A.I play for the Lakers, even though most fans wouldn't... I still believe in him.

                                Hopefully something pans out...

Allen Iverson, who sources indicated the Lakers had some interest in as long as he was willing to go to the NBA Developmental League for a few weeks first, is not the answer. He's simply not a point guard. The Lakers are also said to be interested in former Toronto Raptors point guard Rafer Alston, who helped the Orlando Magic reach the NBA Finals in 2009. But who knows if that will materialize into anything?
