And Duhwight never asked to be traded either. He just gave him a list of teams he'd be interested in. Lots of players do the samething so it's no biggie.

If Iverson and Larry Brown could get things to work out and eventually make an NBA Finals, I think there is still hope for SVG and Dwight.

Can the Magic hold on after this news.......

After consulting with a doctor in Los Angeles on Friday, sources tell RealGM that Dwight Howard has been diagnosed with a herniated disc.

Howard has been advised to cease all basketball-related activities for the next 10 to 15 days as playing could further extend the injury.

Howard would miss the remainder of the regular season if he follows that advice, but it has not been determined if he will attempt to play through the injury.

              M. Night Shamalyn must be writing this script with all these twists.

Wow, that sucks...despite all the foolishness I definitely wish him a speedy recovery....back problems are no joke.

                  Dude should just sit out.

                      Duhwight could miss the Playoffs:

You might remember David Pingalore, the Orlando sportscaster whom Dwight Howard pinned as inaccurate after he correctly revealed that Howard wanted Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy fired. You might also recall that when Van Gundy confirmed Pingalore's report (and … Continue reading →

Has anyone ever come back full strength after a herniated disc? Hopefully he doesn't need surgey.

                          Re: The Dwight Howard Thread

Not sure... back problems are a booger man

Larry Bird - back spasms took him out early

Scottie Pippen - probably had the best career after back issues

Mcgrady... similar to Bird just younger

Baron Davis - along with his poor conditioning took him out

Bobby Sura - just ended up retiring, stealing money not able to return
                          even after back surgery

Those are a few off the top of the head. Thing about back problems is, you have to manage them, whatever it is.

Surgeries don't always correct the problems and sometimes make them worse, but if it really is serious then Dwight shouldn't jeporadize his future for the right now

Yeah, I know Rudy Fernandez and Marvin Williams have had microdysectomys which is supposed to be minimally invasive

Rudy's already out with a back injury and MW hasn't been the same...SMH, hopefully Dwight makes it through this

                              Re: The Dwight Howard Thread

Since he's catching it early he can...if he decides to go on anyhow he could end up making the process harder on himself

Back injuries are funny, but they can be debilitating at the same time.

I'd sit out too if I were him. Its not like the Magic are going to win a ring

I've had a herniated disc. You don't necessarily need surgery. You can rest and rehab. It takes months though. It depends on how bad it is.
