Knight compared to Westbrook? Yikes, that's an all-timer.

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
I'm not either but if they do and most likely will from what I've seen (not much at all) on these guys I hope it's Vesely over Kanter. He just attacks the rim so well (again from what I've seen, which is not much, so take this with a grain of salt). And I think for Kanter's roll as the 7' Euro big man with a 3 ball he's undersized at 6'10" and not that good of a shooter. But he was supposed to play at Kentucky so maybe that says something for what I'm missing here. I trust Dan makes the right decision.

Kanter is also 255 so a bit bulkier than Bargnani but still shorter and not a good enough shooter for a Dirk type Euro big man (the mold for what all Euro's should be in my opinion).Comment

Yeah I think Kanter is the anti Bargs.
Bargs is the poorest of men's Dirk
Kanter seems like a banger to me.Comment

If Kawhi Leonard goes top 10 in this draft, this draft really stinks then. I was not impressed with him at all when I watched him."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
Kanter reminds me of Boozer/Bogut.
He's got range but he can bang too. And he's a legit 6'10".
The Cavaliers desperately need a center and could use either a SF or PF. Hickson is too stupid/doesn't play with effort on defense and...the SF position is full of has beens and never was.
I think the Cavaliers are interested in Jan Vesley, but I'd go with Dontas Montajanus before him. And I'm fully aware I botched both of those names
And the draft may be thin, but the top four is still pretty good, and Irving can be a legit franchise player. Especially with Scott as coach and his ability to develop guards.
I would not be at all shocked to see the Cavaliers draft Irving and Knight and play them in the same backcourt, as they are interested in running a two small guard lineup. Knight can be an uber effective scorer/6th man...if and only if Kanter is not there would I accept Knight.Too Old To Game Club

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
By the way, David Kahn is so very respectful...
Wolves general manager David Kahn said he knew Minnesota was "dead" when it got down to the final three of himself, Utah executive Kevin O'Connor and Nick Gilbert.
"This league has a habit, and I am just going to say habit, of producing some pretty incredible story lines," Kahn said. "Last year it was Abe Pollin's widow and this year it was a 14-year-old boy and the only thing we have in common is we have both been bar mitzvahed. We were done. I told Kevin: 'We're toast.' This is not happening for us and I was right."
David Kahn should probably try not drafting 7 point guards and working towards creating a team that isn't in the lotto every year. What a arrogant, horrible GM this guy is.Too Old To Game Club

I don't know if I agree or disagree with Kahn
Can someone who agrees with Kahn present more evidence to support his view?Comment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
**** Kahn. What a loser. If anything he should be happy he didn't get the number 1 pick because now he can avoid making a number 1 pick worse than Kwame Brown and save himself some more embarrassment.
I already enjoyed making fun of the guy for his stupidity as a GM. Hell, I bet Gilbert's kid could do a better job than him as GM.
I hope Minnesota goes 0-82 now. And tell you what, I bet Cleveland wins a title before Minnesota does.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Oh my God! Good things happening to struggling people! NO!

And these are some dicey comments. If someone/anyone else even went along those lines ("bah mitzvahed"), there would be serious ramifications.
Let them live dude. Your draft history and franchise sucks. Deal with it.
Yeah, the draft is rigged
EDIT: I didn't like seeing the young Gilbert there and I knew they were really going for a sympathy vibe, but it is what it is.
