Much easier said than done though Pack.

Would your Nets like to take our garbage?

It's gonna take a very arrogant GM/Coach to take a chance on someone like Blatche or McGee.

Brandon Knight a top 5 pick? He's got good size, a solid bball IQ (a really smart kid too), good mid-range jumper but he's not a team changer.

Tristan Thompson as a top 10 pick? Yikes. He struggled in college to hit a shot from outside the paint. I'm pretty sure he can't even brush his teeth with his right hand.
No apparent franchise players, imo. But that doesn't mean its a bad draft. It's weak. But I've seen worse.

        Oh no doubt it is.

But if Minny is serious about trading out that spot, then the Wiz might as well call them and see what's up. Otherwise, if you go into the next season with everything as is, including 2 Foreign Players(which we know Ernie will choose with the 6th and 18th)then this whole rebuild process is just going to take even longer.

It would be smart to trade out of this draft to get into next years which will be ridiculously deep.

It all depends on who Utah takes at three...Kanter or one of the PG's. Gilbert said today on WKNR that they'd still like to turn the trade exception into one more lottery pick and aren't done dealing. The Hamilton move could still be in play so they could get a shot at Tristan Thompson or Bismack Biyombo.

I'd rather them still try to make a run at Gay. I think Memphis is blowing smoke right now.

If not I'd like them to try to get another pick early in next year's lottery. It'd be great to get a guy like Barnes early and then Perry Jones or Terrance Jones in the 9-12 range.

I don't know, I think the Rudy thing is dead. The owner would look like a fool for killing the trade talks and saying the guy isn't leaving at all one moment and then going back on that and dealing him.

But yeah, I'd much rather they use that trade exception to get a future pick from a bad team like Minny, Sacramento, Golden State, etc. that would have a good chance ending up in the lottery. Either that or try to make a play for a current player on the block. I don't really want another lottery pick in this draft.

I mean I do agree that at the time of the deal it was the right move to make to get rid of Baron and his contract. That whole situation wasn't working too well, especially when you have Sterling's bitch *** heckling him all the time. But to not put any protection on that pick was crazy and I said that when the deal went down.
It sounds like the pick is exactly what the Cavs were interested in so there's no way they'd go for it with some kind of protection.

This isn't true. Lebron going to Cleveland and making them relevant is a much better story than him going to the Knicks. I don't believe the draft is rigged but Chicago getting #1 when Rose came out and Cleveland getting #1 when LBJ came out are two valid arguments for it.

But you're right, in general drafts are measured by the franchise players. I don't see any franchise players here, but like I said, I see a lot of potential key contributors unlike some other drafts where you see names and you're like "wow they're not even in the league".
Exactly. The league isn't full of stars. There are far too many times when teams take chances on guys hoping they can be stars and they end up duds. The meat and potato players shouldn't just be ignored. The Kwame vs Battier argument.

Enes Kanter's NBA Draft combine workout is extremely impressive. People talked about how unathletic he is, every time he got near the basket, he's dunking. He can run up and down the floor and he's strong as an ox.

If somehow, someway Kanter really DOES fall to 4th, I'm going to be so friggin excited...

Marshon Brooks, when he ain't talking in 3rd person, could become a 1st rounder if he keeps performing like he's been.

                          *sigh*

Looking more and more like he won't be there for my Hornets at #45, unfortunately. Unless we swing some kinda trade.

If Cavs Go with Irving I'd go Kanter with the 4th Pick.

Question is Irving and Williams that big a difference apart?

I personally like Williams alot.. And I would consider going Williams, then Knight/Kemba at the 4th spot. I might be in the minority there though.

                              Right now not really.

                              In the future, absolutely.
