Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
So far, I haven't seen any specific players the Nets were looking at although I do know that they want Athletes.
Only thing I know for certain as of now is that any more we make will be specifically made to keep Deron.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
If Cavs Go with Irving I'd go Kanter with the 4th Pick.
Question is Irving and Williams that big a difference apart?
I personally like Williams alot.. And I would consider going Williams, then Knight/Kemba at the 4th spot. I might be in the minority there though.Comment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
I think the bigger question is whether or not Irving should be projected to be that far ahead of Knight and Kemba. Not suggesting that either are better or even on par, but if the drop off isn't that great then it'd be worth getting one of them and Williams since I think he's much better than anyone else you can get at his position at 4.
And, it's not totally out of the realm of possibility that Williams falls to #4.Too Old To Game Club

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
There is absolutely no question that Irving is better. But I think we agree that he's not the lock of Rose or even Wall, right (could be wrong)? I just mean a very good, potential star PG and Williams is better than All Star PG and role player. I'm not sure that's how these players grade out, but that's the idea I'm throwing out there.Comment

I think Irving is a slightly less athletic Chris Paul.
I think Derrick Williams is Danny Granger part 2.Too Old To Game Club

No way, barring a trade, that Kanter makes it to where Washington is picking. Cleveland would do cart wheels to the podium to select him.Too Old To Game Club

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
Yea, I was just about to post how Irving reminds me of Chris Paul, and Brandon Knight should be the 2nd PG pick. I'll take him over Kemba at this point.Comment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
Knight has great potential, don't get me wrong. He can become one of those guys like Wall or Westbrook...but I don't think that fits what the Cavaliers want to do and I do not know how likely it is that Knight becomes a star.
If I were a team like Utah, though, I'd jump at the chance at Knight.Too Old To Game Club
