I hope the Cleveland trade rumor goes through so the Bulls can get Rip.

As for the draft I hope the Bulls can sign Marshon Brooks.

Of course an NBA center could shut down a rookie tweener.

I just don't understand your argument with Williams. Williams was a great players as a freshman two years ago. This year he played his way into the PotY discussion. Did you watch him beat Duke while his team basically just watched?

Williams is without a doubt the 2 or 3 prospect in the draft. He may not be a star, but he will have a long career.

Let's say this goes through and the Cavaliers end up with Irving and Williams. I wonder this: are they a lottery team again next year or squeak into the playoffs?

I'm going to assume middle of the pack, but no playoffs.

But we still have to see what else they have in the works this offseason.

No way two rooks lead the Cavs to the playoffs. I wouldn't be shocked if they tanked it to get Barnes. Cleveland's FO is enamored with the kid.

Cleveland has to do something and maybe this is it, but I'm not high on anybody from his draft Irving or Williams. Plus Byron Scott is terrible with young players. Oh well hopefully then can do this and return some hope to the franchise.

Love this deal for Cleveland but it looks like DET going to want a player back in the deal if there going to give RIP and their #8 Pick.

Detroit's been trying to get rid of Rip. Anybody willing to take on Rip is doing them a favor.

Broussard says that Detroit rejected the deal and wants a player back before they'll accept it.

They wouldn't lead the team, I think. If they do, then they'll definitely be back in the lottery. But getting Varejao back, Jamison being healthy (depending on how much he has left) and an improving Hickson could be enough. In the East, 37 wins is probably enough, and that's a crying shame.

I originally told friends two picks in this draft would be perfect -- before Barnes, Sullinger, Jones, etc. stayed in school. Now I think two picks next year would be perfect. If they could ship their No. 4 to a potential lottery team (doubtful?) or later in the season even move Hickson, I'd be for it.

Next year's draft is loaded compared to this one. If they could somehow swing a pick in next years lottery I'd be all for it.

Sources say Washington & Phoenix have been the most active teams trying to trade up for Derrick Williams. T'Wolves want a "veteran big man."

Phoenix would probably be a perfect fit for Derrick Williams. Nash would have him putting up 20 a night lol
