Basically Baron Davis saying that he looks forward to hopefully being a mentor for Kyrie Irving and being able to retire going out with a bang in Cleveland and leaving the team in good hands.

Is it just me, or has Baron really embraced being in Cleveland a lot more than I expected him too?

He's also been helping out in the community along with going to several Indians games.

And, more importantly, he's staying in Cleveland and reportedly has lost weight and in great playing shape.

Every day this trade gets better and better.

Baron always reaches out to the city. He's a good guy.

He showed some flashes last season I wouldn't be surprised if he had a decent run next year without the owner sabotaging him.

I believe I said it on the day of the trade, that it was decent for both teams going forward.

Of course we didn't know what the draft pick was, so that changes things a bit. Lol.

I always love seeing little stories like this of guys really embracing new situations or winding down their careers in a nice way. How old is Baron now? I still remember him when he was a rookie. It sounds like he might be the first person who's entire career I've been able to watch.

I was actually at the Rangers v. Indians game where Baron threw out the first pitch. He seems like a real cool dude and he played much better than I expected him to last year.

Guess DX came across some new footage of Kanter - they were less than impressed to put it lightly.

Baron Davis is great. Love the guy. Follow him on Twitter. He's always reaching out to the city. It's great to see it. Cleveland is a great city. People knock it way too much because they just assume it's awful.

                  iLLosophy, define beastly.

High octane, brutal, disregard for their opponent's well being...

                    Examples:
                    Josh Smith
                    JR Smith
                    Blake Griffin
                    Dwight Howard
Tyler Hansbrough (moreso in college...still waiting for him to dominate in the nba)

The stereotype that Euro players have - beastly is the opposite of that.

You had me until you got to Hansborough (and I'm a huge Heels fan so I like his game a lot).

Maybe I might've overstepped there a little bit.

I've heard that the Cavs weren't blown away by Kanter, especially on the defensive side. Team is looking for an intimidating inside presence and he aint it, and would like to move down.

Also heard they really like some Jenkins kid from Hofstra I've never heard of.

Personally, I really hope the Cavs go for Vesely.

Charles Jenkins? Great player, but doesn't really make sense for the Cavs especially since they will be adding Irving to their back-court, with Baron, Sessions, and Gibson already there. Jenkins is a good scorer, not as fast or athletic as other guards but he's pretty strong/tough. I'm pretty sure the Bulls are interested in him.

I'm positive that if there, the Cavaliers are going with Valanciunas.
