    Nah.

TORONTO -- Raptors guard Leandro Barbosa has exercised his contract option to return to Toronto next season.

The team announced the move Saturday.

The 6-foot-3 Brazilian averaged 13.3 points, 2.1 assists and 24.1 minutes in 58 games last season, his first in Toronto.

Barbosa made $7.1 million last season and was second on the team in three-point shooting.
We knew he wasn't that stupid to leave money on the table.

I think a qualifying offer is a 1 year tender for X amount. I'm not sure how much that X is since I think it based off his rookie contract.

Another rumor swirled with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Would it benefit the 76ers to listen? Of course it would. The Cavaliers can offer up their trade exception and a young blossoming JJ Hickson and Ramon Sessions. This trade benefits both teams and their salary cap. If Iggy wants to leave, why not go to Cleveland? He would get to play with Kyrie Irving and Baron Davis, who would set him up for big moments. Then again, if Iguodala wants to be on a winner, this is not the place he wants to be for a few years. The Cavs are rebuilding heavily and AI is already in his late 20's.
This interests me a little bit though. Cavs get a TOUGH nosed defender, legit scorer (not shooter, but good slasher), and get rid of JJ and his lack of hands and terrible mentality.

              Thoughts?

I think that is a horrible trade for the Sixers, why trade for Sessions when he would be behind Holiday, Williams and Turner. Also, Sessions is not a good shooter so it doesn't help to solve the Sixers problems of shot blocking, rebounding or shooting.

I'd do it from the Cavs side but not from the Sixers side.

Hopefully the Sixers are dumb enough to do it but I doubt it.

Roy has basically no ligaments in his knees.....so "if healthy" isn't ever going to be possible, unfortunately.

He'll never really be able to play back-to-back games, long minutes etc.

                        NY Knicks..

The only center with a contract for next season is undersized Ronny Turiaf. The Post has learned Turiaf, as expected, exercised the final year of his contract at $4.5 million. He proved injury-prone in missing 18 games last season with chronic knee soreness.

That trade isn't anywhere close to working financially anyway.

I like the Monta Ellis rumor better...

Does the trade for Sessions/JJ even clear up cap space?

At this point does cap space even matter right now?
