Exactly. That's why I made the point that Nazr is missing. The extra money is being spent so he can have a job. But he's not thinking like that because Nazr is like most NBA players: they all think they are worth max contracts.

If you don't get that out of your head, you never think you're the guy that is fighting for a job. And if you're fighting for a job, you'd appreciate knowing that small market teams can buy up your services instead of crying poverty when they're $10 MM under the cap.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

What's wrong with these owners!? 120 mil cap and 10 mil for everyone per season! Anything less is unacceptable!

No it means that they will probably discuss the potential decertification vote and they are going to get a feel about whether the players would be willing to consider accepting the current proposal.

But didn't Fisher say that there was no current proposal to be agreed to?

There is a proposal. The players just aren't taking it seriously.

I dont know man, I dont see a reason to drag this thing on

Like... its becoming a bit ole joke and this is exactly why the NBA isn't even as popular as it was

Fisher going on about the arena workers and all of that.. they just need to quit it, PR or not, its so disingenuous and non necessary to even throw that in there, as if he went into the meeting looking to get something done for the fans

Matrix they have til Wednesday to make a decision to do something so thats probably the main reason for the meeting whether they want to comply or not, but as I said, time is not on their side

Been avoiding posting in here because I didn't want to keep going back and forth over the same BS over and over and over(like it apparently happened last week)but I just wanted to chime in and say that I actually believe that Fisher wants to get deal done.

Hell, if anything he's the LAST person I'd be *****ing on right now because he got them to go down to 51% and the Owners STILL don't want that? Uhhh hello McFly, isn't that what you asked for??? And now that you got it, it's STILL not enough? The hell do you still want now?

The answer is "leverage\ they dont have to"

and its true, they dont...me personally, im just not cool w\ them jointly sabatoging the season for that very fact...I DGAF what they have

Ive heard many times in this thread "why not meet at 51"? and thats been done....but hey.....

Fisher got them to 51 but he got them there with no a further system changes demand and thats not gonna happen.

They had to be bought by the NBA

                                I'm talking about the BRI.

I know the Owners have ALL the leverage, as I've stated many times, but I'm also not naive to the fact they don't want to get a deal done either. But if you're going to sacrifice the season because you don't have ALL 100% of the leverage, then they can **** off too for all I care, including The Russian, who I've heard is willing to sacrifice a season even though a lost year would hurt his team even more then sitting in Jersey for a few more years.
