There is no way in hell that Melo would ever start over Perkins who is one of the best low-post defenders in the league. Also keep in mind that the 2-3 hides a lot of weaknesses and while he made leaps and bounds from FR-SO year he's in no way ready to contribute consistent minutes in the league. He's 6 fouls waiting to happen.

I'm not a fan of Drummond either. I think he's on par with Derrick Favors. Athletically gifted but has no concept of how to play ball. He could use 2 more years in college to refine his game but that "potential" will get him picked too early. I think he's a year younger than the rest of his class too.
    and you're NOT a fan?

Nah. Kentucky let him stay New Orleans when they left. It was meant to be, man.

Did you forget Anthony Davis or do you believe those 5 players are all better than him? If so, what's the reasoning?

I don't think Davis game/body translate to the NBA game. I think his frame can't handle the necessary weight he'll need to gain to play in the post, and I don't believe his skillset will ever be refined enough for him to make a living as a wing player.

I just hope that Anthony Davis doesn't end up with the Bobcats. I don't want MJ to Kwame Brown him.

I think MJ's too old for that now... and I think the little time in college gives Davis an advantage over Kwame. He had no problem deferring the scoring to other teammates at times, and enjoyed playing strong defense. Kwame came into the league with his last competition being a bunch of boys he just dominated going half speed probably.

Kwame played well for Charlotte last year...not really sure how an owner can mess up a player (other than Baron Davis/Sterling), but okay, I guess the old joke is still funny.

I definitely see Davis' abilities but I don't know if I see him translating either...

As far as being a franchise changer like some have predicted..

He's still in my top 3 no doubt about it.

Not sure about his offensive game but he could be similar to KG defensively imo which is a valuable asset. People always said KG was too skinny and it didn't seem to hurt him and there are other guys who have done the same (Camby, Tay Prince etc).

If you put Davis in a front court with Biyombo they would be pretty decent on one end but probably be barely able to score on the other. Luckily they have Kemba who will gladly take every shot down the floor if given the opportunity.

Davis has a good offensive game and it's only getting better. He is skinny but he can gain weight and get bigger.

Dwight weighed in at 240 at the combine, Davis is listed at 220, but 10 of those lbs are problem from his eyebrow.

At least eyebrow has pretty wide shoulders so if he hits the weights and buffet hard he looks like he has a frame that could support some mass like DH.

KG was 6'11 and 217 at the combine when he was drafted fwiw.
