    Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion

I think Marshall is just not that good around rim. I think it really depends on what kind of team he joins. If the coach is all about tempo. He could have a very get career. But besides that in the halfcourt isn't all that. He reminds me fo Marcus Williams at this point. Like I keep saying he can prove me wrong (and improve his finishing around the rim).

      Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion

Well, you literally can say that about any player outside of Davis that it depends on what team they're on LOL.

But Marshall has shown that he can operate well in a half court Offense just as well as he could be in a Fastbreak type of Offense.

Hell, look at the difference between how UNC looked when Larry Drew was running the PG and then how Marshall looked in that same setting and you'll notice a nice difference in terms of how the team played.

I know if he ends up on a veteran team or gets drafted late in the 1st by a team like the Spurs or OKC for example, he could be the steal of the draft IMO.

As a Bobcats fan, I'm looking foward to this draft a lot. Hopefully we will land 1st pick and add Anthony Davis to our roster. Him and Biz together will lead to defensive dominance down low. And he'll add a decent scoring option which I think will also develop nicely in his career.

Damn, I wish that bobcats pick that the bulls got in the tyrus Thomas trade was unprotected.

Edit: I feel bad for Phoenix fans, looks like they may end up with a 14th overall pick again. It seems like every year they are good enough to be competitive but not compete, and never bad enough to get a low draft pick.

Looks like the blazers may be able to snag Drummond. And if he pans out, a Aldridge/Drummond front court would be deadly, with batum at SF.

They could also swing there other lottery pick for a real PG, or possibly take a chance on someone like Austin rivers or Kendall marshall.

(also I didn't realize that the Jazz had two lottery picks again this year)

He is a good scorer, he just doesn't have to score much on Kentucky.

I misread your post. I thought you said he didn't have one now.
Sorry about that, and yeah he is 19 and only getting better, so whoever gets him will be happy.

So if the Wildcats win tonight and with Anthony Davis being the most likely number one pick in the draft, Davis would be the first player since Larry Johnson in 1991 to be the first pick in the draft to win an NCAA championship in college. Davis would be the first number one pick since Danny Manning in 1988 to end his NCAA career with a national championship.

Vet for picks is always ideal, but I don't know if anyone wants our guys. Tayshaun's contract is more reasonable than BG's but is anyone interested? If somehow someway we were in position to need a scoring guard I'd support Beal, but Rivers seems like a younger version of Stuckey.

I'm one of the few guys that wouldn't have an issue with Sullinger if we were to get him. I think his lack of athleticism is overblown and he makes up for it with his footwork, body positioning, and length (7'1 wingspan).
Sullinger is going to be a dumpster fire in the NBA for where he will be drafted. To me, he's Big Baby Davis 2.0, and he was a 2nd round pick...

I disagree with that completely. put that last game aside. If I was able to get Sullinger around the 10-15 Spots I'd be thrilled. He has a "Nice" jumpshot and while he's not great against taller PF and C he's a pretty good rebounder. I know this comparison has been made alot. but Kevin Love, not what Kevin Love is now but what Kevin Love was when he was coming out of UCLA.

I could live with the 10-15 range, though personally I would prefer the 18-25 range for him. He'll be a decent player, but it's crazy to hear him mentioned as a top 5-8 pick. He gets destroyed by guys that are taller/longer than him in college. In the NBA, everyone he faces will be. He'll be a Corliss Williamson/Big Baby type player.

If the Bobcats get the first pick, I wonder how hard it's gonna be for Jordan not to draft Harrison Barnes, a North Carolina guy.
