I won't believe anything until Chris Hansen says it's so.Comment

I believe it's going to happen simply because the NBA has a financial hold of the Maloofs by the boys and is forcing them to sell (believed to be by the March 1 relocation deadline), but I'm not believing any of the specifics until the official presser.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Nice to see you rockin the Sonics Avatar.
Question: what division would these Sonics be in? Pacific, Northwest, or Southwest? (Not gonna debate about the Southwest, that will NOT happen to Seattle) If they are in Pacific, then why would Portland, a team south of Seattle be in the Northwest. Northwest, where do the Nuggets, Jazz, Portland, Minny, or OKC go?
Scenario 1:
Pacific:
Sonics
Lakers
Clippers
Suns
Warriors
Northwest:
Blazers
Nuggets
T-Wolves
Jazz
Thunder
(Southwest stays the same)
Or Scenario 2:
Pacific:
Lakers
Clippers
Thunder/Jazz/Denver
Suns
Warriors
Northwest:
Sonics
Blazers
Nuggets/Thunder/Jazz
Jazz/Nuggets/Thunder
T-Wolves
What would happen to the divisions? Here's a map to use to figure it out.

Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
CenturyLink Field (Seattle Seahawks) and Safeco Field (Seattle Mariners); some really good stadiums architecture-wise. Highly interested in what this new Seattle building would look like. Is Sacramento even working on a new arena deal?? That piece of crap building they have now is astrocious.Comment

Evidence says done deal
The public has known the Maloofs want out of Sacramento for a long time. Plain and simple they don't want to be there and have been trying hard to get out. All signs point to this deal with Chris Hansen being planned a very long time ago. This link between them is not something that just popped up.
On July 16th, 2010, Frank Hughes wrote an article for Sports Illustrated in which he said that George Maloof came to Seattle to meet with Wally Walker.
So back in 2010, the Sacramento Kings owner was meeting with Wally Walker who is a member of Chris Hansen's team and the efforts to bring the NBA back to Seattle. Of course a BS story was made up to keep the media away and tickets selling in Sacramento.
Here is an article from Steve Kelley of the Seattle Times claiming that the meeting was "much ado about nothing."
However, Wally Walker is also the first person to introduce Chris Hansen to David Stern. I cannot find a link and I can't remember if it was a TV interview or something I read but I am pretty sure that Wally Walker set up the meeting between them.
Also, on the SonicsArena website you will find a blog written by Pete Nordstrom who is one of the key investors in the Seattle arena deal and part of the potential ownership group. He starts his blog by saying "I was made aware of Chris Hansen by Wally Walker probably at the beginning of ’12."
Is it just a coincidence that the same guy who met with George Maloof in Seattle is the same guy who introduced Chris Hansen to a key part of his team?
Here is another article on mynorthwest with Marienrs CEO Howard Lincoln in which he discusses having breakfast with both Chris Hansen and Wally Walker.
That helps to prove how closely connected Wally Walker is to this whole thing. He is a major player.
When Chris Hansen first announced his intentions of building an arena and buying a team, the articles all specifically mentioned the Sacramento Kings. From the very beginning the Kings were mentioned as the team and now that it seems to be coming to life people are acting as if there is a chance it's not true. There have been far too many connections for this not to be a done deal at this point. Chris Hansen spent a lot of money on this already. He must have been pretty confident right? Why would he have been so confident? Could it possibly have something to do with the 2010 meeting between the Maloofs and Wally Walker? I believe this has been a done deal for a very long time now. I feel sorry for the fans of Sacramento, and I will feel sorry for all Sonics fans if somehow I am wrong and the deal falls apart!
Had to erase the links to the evidence because this website won't let me post links yetComment

I will keep my faith. I love this city and I love this team.
To the people say I have other teams in the state to cheer for..you're right. But this is my team, in my city. I don't care for the others. I love the Sacramento Kings. I grew up with them, been through up and down seasons. My family has camped outside the arena box office to get regular season single game tickets in the 80's. This is all that we have in this city. We also realize that if we lose this basketball team, we will never gain another professional sports franchise. We can't have that which is why we continue to fight. It might be an uphill battle, but we don't give up here..how many times have we been through this? Anaheim, VB, KC, Seattle, this isn't the first. We are passionate for this team here..yes attendance has been down..but you can thank the Maloofs and the economy for that. Our mayor is doing everything he can to keep the team here..will we win I don't know. But I do know Sacramento loves its team and it would be devastating if we lost them.
Sorry for my rant, it just feels like I continue to get punched in the gut with everything going on. All we want is our team.
Edit: Also I have no ill-will towards Seattle fans..I don't ever want to come off that way. I just really love this basketball team and what they represent. My home, Sacramento.Xbox 360 Rosters:

Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
I personally prefer an expansion team just for history/name purposes. Makes a whole lot more sense for an expansion team to be called the Sonics and take the history then it does for us to take a team that already has a name and history and throw ours on it.Comment
