I'd put him in the $7-$10 Mil range.

I don't think he's a bad or mediocre player by any stretch(I'd save that for the Johan PetROFL's and the Travis OutLOL's of the world)but I also don't think he's been utilized very well in Memphis or Toronto.

Rudy Gay is a good post player, defender, passer and slasher. He needs to realise he isn't a good 3pt shooter and i think he would make a great 2nd option on a good team. if his contract wasn't so ridiculous i think he would be a good fit on many teams

He only shoots like 2 3pointers a game.. Idk where everyone gets this he's a chucker who shoots too many 3's mentality.

Williams, Cousins, and Gay. It could work. I like the trade for Sacramento. I guess Toronto figured Rudy Gay isn't a number 1 guy and traded him. I think Toronto will be fine with Derozen.

I actually like that lineup pretty well. I don't like what's coming off of the bench. I'm not sure how the rotations are going to work.

How should gay be utilized then since Memphis and Toronto apparently didn't know. Gay is what he is, an inconsistent scorer who does nothing else to elevate his team. Not defensively not creating for others not overly smart

Even his strength is a double edged sword. He's inefficient and thinks he's better than he is

Players like he, josh smith joe Johnson are not worth it

If this is directed towards me, basically they wanted him to be something we all know he shouldn't be: Which is someone to shoulder the majority of the load on Offense.

I also do think he still has time to change his game around(on the court and mentally)because he's only 27 and only been in the league 6-7 years and there's history of players changing their game around BUT only when they were still young. Once they hit Year 10 and/or hit the 30s, then yeah I wouldn't expect any player to make significant changes to their game at all and would accept them for what they are.

Gay would be fine if he isn't the go to scorer on the team and gets to drive to the basket alot.

if sac starts isaiah, mclemore, williams, gay, cousins and use gay as the THIRD option, maybe even 4th i feel it will be a good trade for them. if they try to make him the 1 or 2 option it will probably end with them taking randle or parker

Rudy Gay is inefficient, he's never been a black hole. And he's not confused about his identity, he's been forced into that role every team he's been on.

Damn ex if Gay is an inefficient black hole I don't want to know what you thought of Paul George last year.

IIRC when those comparisons started popping up you were one of the people who said PG wasn't as good as Gay yet(to which I don't disagree... just think it's funny to think about that now considering where George is and what you're saying about Rudy lol)
