Re: 2014 Draft Class
Vonleh isn't that skilled offensively. He's a good rebounder and will probably be able to hit 3s consistently in the future, but right now there are a bunch of guys better than him on offense. He's got as much "potential" as any big though imo, including Embiid. Not to mention he's one of the younger guys in this class- won't turn 19 until August. I've seen mocks that have Aaron Gordon going before both him and Randle. I just don't understand that.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Okay well I could be wrong, if so I apologize for stating otherwise.
Regardless if it's standing or running, he jumped insanely high. Vertical actually means something in basketball so that could definitely influence his draft stock. With the back problems surrounding Embiid, I still think Wiggins goes #1.Fino Alla Fine

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Doug McDermott for starters. Jabari Parker (if you consider him a 4), Joel Embiid, TJ Warren (tweener so I'll include him here), Adreian Payne, Isaiah Austin, I think Randle is as well. Probably Dario Saric too, I just haven't seen a lot of him to say that either way. Those are just guys who will probably be picked in the first round.
Vonleh isn't that skilled offensively. He's a good rebounder and will probably be able to hit 3s consistently in the future, but right now there are a bunch of guys better than him on offense. I considered Doug, TJ, Jabari, all small forwards in the draft.
Payne I'll agree, though his upside is low and he could likely miss the lottery. Austin is a jump shooter. Embiid could be a monster on the block, but he can't face and go or hit jumpers.
Vonleh isn't a dominate scorer but he's already well rounded. Can can post, face and drive, hit jumpers, solid footwork and fakes. Which is why as a post player I considered him among the best offensively. Not saying he'll hit the league and immediately score a ton of points, but already has a great foundation to build from.
