The NBA is becoming positionless anyway to be honest.

Embiid still has some basics to learn since he's so new to the game, but for me the biggest leap in his game will be developing an ability to leave the floor quickly..

He needs to work on being able to jump quickly, even 2nd and 3rd jumps. He has good speed and quickness for someone his size, but still leaves the ground relatively slow.

Good luck. I hope he finds a place somewhere in the NBA, but I'm not going to bet on it. Great guy though. Met him a few times on campus.

Ehhh, might be trying a little too hard with that spreadsheet. The comparisons too... no bueno. Too statistical

There's also some really interesting reads on some of the prospects at http://deanondraft.com/

He does a really nice comparison of Jabari and Melo, and has a couple articles explaining why he has Wiggins at #6 on his board, why he doesn't think Randle should be a lottery pick at all, some of the "myths" regarding this year's draft class, and some of the 2nd round sleepers teams should target. It's pretty cool.

You can also go through that Google Doc that I posted earlier and if you click the Retro tab, there's some links on there to see how he ranks all of the prospects by position dating back to before Jordan was drafted. Pretty cool stuff even if it's obviously not completely accurate.

Here's a graphic that compares Wiggins and Jabari once they got into conference play. I was surprised that Wiggins actually had Jabari beat in almost all of the offensive categories considering Jabari's generally regarded as far better on the offensive end while Wiggins is far better on the defensive end.

wiggins also had a far better supporting cast though.

regardless, cleveland is taking dante exum #1.

It's not like Jabari's supporting cast was chopped liver though. They were far smaller than Kansas team, but they were also one of the best scoring team's in the country in terms of efficiency.

Rumor of Philly contemplating trading MCW to take Exum is starting to gain a little traction...

I feel like that would be an example of a team trying to be too smart. You already have a very nice young PG and Exum could still co-exist with MCW too. But I would think a combination of MCW+Wiggins/Jabari+Gary Harris/Stauskas/Gordon is better than Exum+two of Harris, Stauskas, Gordon, etc.

Not to mention you'd basically be telling the guys that you draft that they'll constantly have to be worried about where they're playing next year no matter how well they play.

Parker also played in a tougher conference defensively, IMO..

Also not sure where the stats came from, basketball reference has them both averaging 17.6 ppg in conference games. Actually according to BBR a lot of those stats are off.
