I agree, more good white players in the NBA would get the "casual" fan a bit more interested.

But as far as Tiger goes.....ummm, no comment, lol. We've heard enough Tiger isnt black jokes from Dave Chapelle. But I didnt know any black people or any of my friends who cared about golf before Tiger, and I dont know any who care now. Now, lets say Maurice who lives on the corner of my block, picks a golf club and all of a sudden becomes the best golfer in the world, then y'ell Ill be watching golf, lol.

Tiger isn't white. And he has already trancended the sport. And if you think he wasn't a HUGE ratings boost the to the PGA then you need to research it. As far as your friend Maurice not watching it that just proves my point, white America did embrace Tiger, and the endorsements and TV ratings, as well as the Gallery around him on the course when he plays proves it.

I agree. Im just saying, Tiger has brought the PGA bigger ratings but it hasnt change its core audience. PGA has always had a mostly *white* audience. Now it just has a bigger *white* audience. Most minorities, from what I know, could care less about Tiger. They love a guy like say Allen Iverson a whole lot more.

I'm not white, I just wanted to chime in and say, sports is where the playing field is level, its a meritocracy, it you're good you play, has nothing to do with white, black or different, just talent.

Larry had talent, and he was unabash "in yo face" and very damn good. Thats it, thats all she wrote.

no im sorry , i really dont look at color in a basketball game. I am to busy watching the game.
I honestly have never thought about it.
I happen to be a white person who experienced racism as a player from a black coach. But i dont look at players or coaches color , but i know (from experience^) that ignorance , racism , just plain dumbness exists.

I dont know what color the players are. I know people are sometimes greatly affected by image so who knows what more white stars would do ? Any unnatural selection method would be unnecessarily risky. The last thing i want to see is athletes selected without merit. Let the chips fall.
