No one ever said Kobe is better than MJ so cool off Mr. All-Star. In fact, IMO, I'd take Jordan with my first pick if I were starting an All-Time team. Conversely, I'd take Kobe with my first pick if I were starting an NBA team today.

Still worrying about post counts huh chippy? Get over it man you seem to get stuck on things noone is even talking about.

Why would you start a team in the L with Kobe instead of a Shaq, TD or KG?

even though I hate the guy (as a player), i respect him so I would definately take Duncan over anyone if I was starting a team, no question about it. KG would be a close second but you can't go wrong with the big fundamental.

For the same reasons I would've picked Jordan over Magic, Bird, or Hakeem back in '88.

gp better scorer than harper. not really. harper was the man with the clippers before knee injures. besides that tex winters said jordan never played the sg position with the bulls running the triangle. He said basicly harper was sg pippen pg and jordan sf/wing the wing player has open shots. they wanted to get kobe to the sf in triangle. so he could be utilized more like jordan

                        Re: Kobe\'s \'Bulls\'?

You should remember, Kobe came in the league when he was 17-18. Jordan was 20. Who do you think would have more experience at 24? 6 seasons for Kobe or 4 seasons for Jordan? For what its worth, Jordan may not have had championships in 4 seasons, but, he certainly achieved more. Add to the fact that his team was bulding around him compared to Kobe being added to Shaq's.

Good points. I can see where your coming from re Kobe at the same age.

                              BTW ignore KDRE.

Unfortunatley, he's a 12 year old kid who is obsessed with T Mac. Now, that's fine and all. However, it means that he has some sort of insane bias against Kobe. (Theory = Kobe and Mac are rivals, you know how kids are with that [censored]).

Personally, I don't like Bryant as a person. But the facts are, just about every player in the game calls him the number one player when on his game. I respect Rudy T a lot and Rudy basically feels Bryant has the potential to be the greatest ever. LA will be his team now.

As stated, I don't like him as a person and I don't like the Lakers. As a basketball fan though, it will be very interesting to see if he can rise to this challenge. I think a lot of us forget how young Kobe is.

People also forget (conveniently) that Shaq, for all his domincance, hasn't had to take or make a game winning shot in a big game for years.

Because of his foul shooting, Shaq never gets the ball when it counts, game on the line.

Now, despite this, most Kobe haters will tell you the kid did nothing to get the three rings. Where I sat, he seemed to cary them most times in the crunch.
