Trust me Pdiddy, I live in LA, I see all of em. The real fans the playoff fans, the corporate fans, the fake fans, and the fanboys. I am just amazed that I'm the guy singled out by these homers because of a post. They cant refute the post so they attack me. LOL. I probably know more about the Lakers than they do. I follow the NBA period, not just one team or player. Heck, I like the Clippers more than the now past Lakers team simply because their attitudes aren't nearly as bad or even close to the Laker players, and they work for Sterling.

Re: Kobe\'s \'Bulls\'?
First of all, please kill the "Kobe better than MJ at age 25" argument.
MJ at age 25:
Season - 1989, 32.5 ppg, 8.0 apg , 8.0 rpg, .538 FG% , .275 3PT%, .849 FT%
Kobe at age 25:
Season - 2003, 30.0 ppg, 5.9 apg , 6.9 rpg, .451 FG% , .382 3PT%, .842 FT%
So wheater you think Kobe is better at 25 or just thinks he had a better understanding of the game look at the highlighted stats and ask youself that question again.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Basically, Kobe just got the Bulls team he's always wanted to emulate. Now it's up to him to see if he really can "be like Mike" and take a team to a championship.
Payton / Ron Harper = GP can play the taller guard role, better scorer than Harper. Better post player. Massive X Factor if he can play like his Sonic days.
Kobe / MJ = Well, he wanted this challenge.
Odom / Pip = Similar "point forward" types. Lamar is nothing like Pip as a defender though.
Grant / Rodaman = Both can rebound and defend. Don't trash BG. He can board and play D. He is NOT a center.
Center = Scrubs v scrubs.
Bench = Fish / Kerr, both shooters + scrubs. Caron Butler could be the X Factor here. He could fetch LA something nice down the road, maybe even a defensive minded C.
Both squads mazingly similar in structure. Kobe has his Bulls team. Rudy will hand the reigns over and give him every chance to be "the greatest player ever" as he's already said.
Personally, I don't see Kobe as being in MJ's class. He has his chance though. Should be interesting.
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
Two IMPORTANT thing missing in this equation:
1. No Toni Kukoc coming off the bench and causing match-up problems. That was a BIG strength for the Bulls against other teams. A 6'11' player coming off the bench playing all positions.
2. Odom does not play defense like Pippen. Every true Bulls fan knows that a major part of his legacy with the Bulls dynasty was the defense he played. Yes, offensively he was all-round like Odom. BUT his defense was a major part of the six championships.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. From the ages of 21-26 MJ had taken 1818 more shot than Kobe. That is including is second year when he broke his ankle. That is a full season's worth of shots.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. These two are so similar early in their careers it is uncanny. All of you who were in diapers or too young to understand basketball when MJ was in his 20's have no frame of reference to speak.Comment

You are killin' me here. This is too easy. Kobe was not the #1 guy on his team. Shaq is/was. When no one in the league (and I mean NO ONE) can match up with Shaq, then he is, and will always be his team's #1 scoring option. Jordan was the Bulls #1 and #2 scoring option with Pippen #3 and any of the role players taking an open shot but risking a death glare from Jordan if they missed it.
If you look deeper into the stats you can see that Kobe took many more 3-pointers (and I'd bet many more mid-range jumpers) than Jordan did. Again, this just illustrates Kobe's forced outside shooting while Shaq dominated the inside.Comment
