The way they played in November was a better brand of ball than how they played in April. The absurd shooting skill masked a decline in the soundness of their decision making.

Other teams around the league will mimic GS to a degree, but(partly because they aren't going to have the shooting skill) coaches aren't going to let the "FU" 3 become the core identity of the team.

They also didn't have an MVP and weren't setting records. They were a fun team with a ceiling. No one ever thought any of those dudes were among the best few players in the league.

So how do teams mimic the Cavs next year?

Anyone watching the plane coming in on espn?

Crazy!! Seriously I never thought LeBron could do this. Especially down 3-1. I'm pretty sure he could lose all the next finals. And he still be a GOD. I can't tell you when he left that they could with Mo and Shaq.

              Wow!!

Ask Lebron James to come and hand pick the team, trade their draft pick and pick their coach

Very well said there, and with a lot of truth. I do think that identity works for some teams but I really don't see it as an offense that carry a team all the way to victory as we saw last night the old adage of "you live by the 3 you die by the 3" can come true at the worst times. It will be interesting to see if the Cavs continue to use the long range game as the main cog in their arsenal next season as they really did get hot in the playoffs but we've also seen where that completely dried up in a few games along the way.

I for one don't see the "FU/dagger 3" being a big part of the Raptors whom I follow on a daily basis here as they seem to want to preach defense and high percentage shots. It also seems like they're going to try and be a little more gritty inside the paint as their targeting a PF and Jonas is poised to have a breakout season. We shall see. Actually, truth be told I think this kind of bombs away offense probably suits western conference teams more than the East where it's still sometimes a little more chippy rather than moving up and down the court.

So to play along with the past couple years hyperbole, does this make LeBron miles ahead as a GM? lol

Not according to the flowchart, this would fall under the 'Did LeBron win?' section....so we don't bring that up, lol Zen Master:
Phil Jackson believes LeBron James needs to find another level for the Cavaliers to climb out of their Finals hole, much like Michael Jordan did 23 years prior. Speaking on a stage with Shaquille O'Neal on Monday, Jackson recalled how Jordan, trailing the 1993 Eastern Conference finals 0-2 to the Knicks, was motivated by a New York Times article negatively reporting on his off-day trip to an Atlantic City casino. The Bulls won four straight after the article ran, with Jordan averaging 32.2 points for the series. Jackson compared it to James' situation with Game 3 on Wednesday in Cleveland. "It did something to Michael Jordan. You learned something about pulling the cape of Superman. It's not a good idea. He was a man possessed after that," Jackson said at the Chelsea event sponsored by American Express. "I think it's going to take something for LeBron to step into that. Put his cape on and say, "I'm going to have to take over a lot of this series, doing the things beyond my level or my normal capacity.' He's been a team player up until this point but I think he's going to have to step beyond that."

This stuff now is out of control just to have talking points. The whole what have you done for me lately crowd is what makes those stories that burn up in flash. The same media who built up Steph and the Warrios image this season are tearing it back down, and it's not a surprise.
Ah yes, the media stuff. I think media interpretation may vary a bit from Warriors fans' appreciation, the latter of which is what I was speaking to at the start. I know it's virtually impossible to avoid the media, but I often try my hardest so I can skip out on all that stuff (dropping cable helped a lot).

Fair point. Though again, I think Warriors fans should take solace in knowing their squad hit their ceiling and blasted through it on numerous occasions. That's pretty cool, too (the ring, the records, the excitement, etc.) It still has to be a great time to be a Warriors fan.
