Depends on who you ask lol. I went to school at Ohio State so naturally a lot of my friends are Cavs fans. You would think Steph Curry stole their lunch money or something... the amount of hate for that dude on their end is absurd (But then again it's sports, when isn't sports related hatred absurd?)

Nationally, they weren't really painted as villains. Outside of the usual hate for Draymond, it was more so about can they finish off the best season of all-time with a ring than it was about painting them as villains.

He shot 40% from the field. 40% from three.

His three point shot was above average but he failed to drive to the basket consistently and his overall shooting numbers were below average.

I see this as a heavy reliance on the three point shot.

Game 1: 8 threes. 7 twos.
G2: 8 threes. 3 twos.
G3: 9 threes. 4 twos.
G4: 13 threes. 12 twos.
G5: 15 threes. 6 twos.
G6: 13 threes. 7 twos.
G7: 14 threes. 5 twos.

During the season he definitely took more threes then twos. Averaged 11 threes vs. 9 twos.

Consider what it was in 2015 when it was 8 threes vs. 9 twos.

His success rate was higher this season from all over the court, but if you look at his monthly shot averages, there is a slight growing disparity in his threes versus twos.

October: 12 threes. 11 twos.
November: 11 threes. 9 twos.
Dec: 9 threes. 9 twos.
Jan: 11 threes. 8 twos.
Feb: 12 threes. 11 twos.
March: 11 threes. 9 twos.
April: 13 threes. 9 twos.

From a 1:1 ratio to taking four more threes a game than twos.

By the time the playoffs came, he was taking 5 more threes than twos.

And in the Finals, nearly gave up on it completely.

His percentage dipped and his game suffered in the Finals.

Great player that will learn from it.

Sounds about right.

Well, that certainly makes sense haha. I couldn't imagine how that might seem on another part of the U.S. to see just a completely different change of perspective.

Maybe I used the wrong figure of speech, but I guess I really saw this big #dubnation thing going on this year (from NBA fans, ESPN, etc.) and were all waiting to not only see the single season wins record, but to see that season deliver a championship title, and a back-to-back one to boot.

However, after game 5, I've gotten this little inkling (with no evidence whatsoever) that this large nation of Warriors bandwagoners had jumped off or weaned out in favor of wanting Cleveland to make the historic excellent comeback that they made. Like, I think even ESPN will be celebrating this much more than they might have earlier in this series even.
