Yeah early August, so six weeks out. It's still better than the other three summers in the cycle. We get the draft, FA, summer league (that **** is getting more popular with each passing year) then a few weeks off and the Olympics start. Could be worse.

For sure. Will still be entertaining though IMO.

I'm going with Rockie88 on this one. I'll wait until the training camp. Who knows what will happen?

It's funny I thought we watched the same Kyrie from last year. He did the samething vs Curry last year in game (actually had 2-3 blocks on Curry).

That's another thing I got to give props to. Kyrie defense was waaay better then I've ever seen it.

All I know is that as long as LeBron is healthy, the Cavs will be in the Finals. Who knows about taking the chip though.

He shot 40% from the field. 40% from three.

His three point shot was above average but he failed to drive to the basket consistently and his overall shooting numbers were below average.

I see this as a heavy reliance on the three point shot.

            Game 1: 8 threes. 7 twos.
            G2: 8 threes. 3 twos.
            G3: 9 threes. 4 twos.
            G4: 13 threes. 12 twos.
            G5: 15 threes. 6 twos.
            G6: 13 threes. 7 twos.
            G7: 14 threes. 5 twos.

During the season he definitely took more threes then twos. Averaged 11 threes vs. 9 twos.

Consider what it was in 2015 when it was 8 threes vs. 9 twos.

His success rate was higher this season from all over the court, but if you look at his monthly shot averages, there is a slight growing disparity in his threes versus twos.

            October: 12 threes. 11 twos.
            November: 11 threes. 9 twos.
            Dec: 9 threes. 9 twos.
            Jan: 11 threes. 8 twos.
            Feb: 12 threes. 11 twos.
            March: 11 threes. 9 twos.
            April: 13 threes. 9 twos.

From a 1:1 ratio to taking four more threes a game than twos.

By the time the playoffs came, he was taking 5 more threes than twos.

And in the Finals, nearly gave up on it completely.

His percentage dipped and his game suffered in the Finals.

Great player that will learn from it.

What help? He led his team in points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks.

And to think, he was also the GM and the coach.. Has to be the greatest finals ever right?

I'm not sure but I do think the Cavs are clearly the #1 team in the East with the Raptors being the clear #2. At the very least the Cavs are just about a lock to get to the Finals.

The key thing is, will they rest on their laurels or keep playing with the intensity and determination they showed this playoffs? Only time will tell.

Cleveland was basically the only good team from this years playoffs that wasn't absolutely trash on the road compared to home. And it ended up winning them a ring.

Let it be known that I've only heard local Bay Area opinions and I have not ventured into this massive thread yet.

However, I'm curious if Golden State has been painted as the villain within this past week? From the inside looking out, I would see it that way after the things that had happened to Green and Curry. I feel like there were other things as well, but I can't quite remember what they were... but I think most people who aren't Californians are ecstatic that Cleveland came back and one. Is there any truth to this?

Also, just a small thing, but I hate when fans hate the other teams and players when they beat them. Giants fans hate: the Angels and Glaus, the Marlins and Pudge... don't know if they hate the Mets and Agbayani, but ah well. Anyway, they can't just claim that their team was inferior at the time and move on from it. The Cavs were better, as was LeBron. I liked them before, and I'll like them now. I feel like I can't say it in public or on social media without being chastised as not being a "true Warriors fan" though, even though I have watched pretty much all 82 games of every year I wasn't at SDSU since 2004.

My wife is from Oakland, it's been an enjoyable two weeks scrolling through her FB feed during the huge turn of events in the series.

Nationally, I don't think GSW was painted as the villain at all, just the usual hatred for Green. The only national debate was the same thing that it's been for the last two years - can the Warriors style lead to a title?

“All I’m gonna do is write essays,” Jefferson said. “I don’t know what they’re going to be. They might be erotic. I don’t know. But I’m just going to write lots of essays.” He’ll have plenty of time to figure that out.

I don't think the Warriors were painted as villains per se but I do think the hypocrisy of the "star system/elite teams get the benefit of the doubt" crap was exposed once again. Draymond Green should've been suspended during the OKC series and the league HAD to suspend him in this series or else it would've been a really black eye for the league's perception. You know there are issues when athletes from other sports think the NBA is rigged. (referring to David Price's tweet) I do think Curry rep took a bit of a hit with some of his actions in this series but I think it'll be forgotten if he has a hot start to next season.

Thanks for the previous (and possible future) responses. I just also wanted to clarify that I'm okay with the fact if they were haha. Not like I was asking out of beginning to create a huge defense against why they aren't. I was just saying that because I only hear local radio and haven't been watching ESPN as of late, plus I don't get to hear from other actual communities.

Oh, and I also wanted to clarify that I didn't gather local opinions stating that GSW was a villain at all, just saying that they are all defending our team and will always be apologists. I say they really screwed up and the Cavaliers wanted it more. It doesn't hurt as much because we won last year, but again I can't "say that out loud" without being put on blast heh.
