So im kinda glad that the "Steph is the best player on the planet" stuff can stop now. He never has been and it was clear in these finals. The first ever unanimous MVP was probably the 5th best player on the court during the championship series.

He is a great player and one of the best shooters ever, but he's never been the best player in the league.

It'll be a fun narrative to monitor over the next year or two. He went from the golden boy to trash, where does he go to next?

Certainly he's not on LeBron's level and never will be but what if he really was severely banged up this post season (not that I believe it) comes back in 2017 and lights up the Cavs in a Finals rematch and leads GSW to another title? Good times, fun drama to watch unfold.

          Strawberries for everyone.

If Steph dominates the finals next year, it will be a first. He's had probably one or two great finals games out of 13. He's a great player but you would think that a two time MVP and the first to win it unanimously would show up in the championship like the other MVPs did.

What if I told you things that happen in an NBA calendar year can be contained in that year? Steph was the best basketball player in the league this year, period. It flamed out in the postseason after the injuries but that doesn't take away from what was accomplished during the year.

And anyway I don't like how scoring has became an underrated part of basketball for some reasons. Kyrie was probably just as valuable as Lebron theses playoffs for his ability to score in many ways and be consistent. If Golden State had a guy who could have scored a ****ing basket in that 4 minutes stretch they'd probably have won it.
