Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
So you hold it against LeBron not taking the final shot of a big playoff game (even though he's done that and you blatantly ignore it).. But you don't hold it against Magic that he's had teammates outplay him in finals series? Take the finals MVP from him.. So LeBron can be the best player on his team but not shoot the last shot, but Magic could be the 2nd best player on his team in a series and it counts for more?
For the record, if someone thinks Magic is better than LeBron it doesn't matter we are at the point where the difference in these top 5 or so guys is very minimal.. I just already knew where you were going with your post.

So the times Jordan passed to Kerr, passed to Paxson, passed to Kukoc, passed to Pippen, Magic passed to Kareem, passed to Worthy, and the game was won, those were the wrong plays to make?

I will say this about the starting 5 thing. Yes it is true but it doesn't matter the Warriors choked. I will say this. They played like crap the whole playoffs compare to the regular season and still made it to game 7 in the finals. That shows how good they really are. But Curry and Klay miss so many open shots.Comment

BTW LeBron has more playoff game winning shots than Magic, and was either tied with or 1 ahead of Jordan.. So there's that too.

How about we just look at LeBron's career and marvel at the fact that dude is a freak of nature that has done some impressive ****. Stop trying to compare anything. I can look at LeBron's numbers and see how impressive they are. You can look at his numbers and they scream all-time great from the mountaintops they don't need to be put next to anybody else's to be impressive. They don't need to be laid out next to the guy considered the best to ever do it at some random *** age for them to be impressive. The only thing you're doing at that point is making it look like you're trying to find some back door way of saying he's better than the other guy. Just enjoy that man's career for what it is and hope no major injuries derail the end of it.

Re: The Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden St. Warriors Part 2
I see what you're saying and fair enough about age; however, comparing accumulated seasons isn't equal either and the truth is, there may never be an equal comparison even once LeBron retires. We're comparing a guy straight out of high school to a guy that played 3 years at North Carolina. That's why I think age has more relevance in the discussion than same amount of seasons, cause MJ was still playing basketball at high-level competition 18-21 years old, it just wasn't the NBA.
I was never intending to debate between the two, it was just cool to see that they've accomplished the same amount at the same age. Like I said, I'm stans for both and I know that LBJ has ways to go to catch MJ's overall greatness. And we will know for sure if he ever does once he retires.
Personally, I don't think you were trying to do anything funky with numbers but the image definitely is. Why year 31? We all know why... they work the numbers until they find something that fits the narrative.
The bottom line is there are so many reasons there can't be a fair comparison so everybody should stop trying to compare them.Comment
