    Re: 2020 Offseason Thread

Raptors turned down sign and trade offers for FVV from Pacers and Rockets.

4 years of FVV vs 1 year of Oladipo or 2 of Westbrook at over 40M?

He wasn’t very good In Atlanta last year I mean he is fine as a backup. He isn’t much of a defender or playmaker anymore For philly I would rather just give those minutes to Maxey or Shake.

I'm hoping for Boogie Cousins, Dwayne Dedmon (heard he was getting bought out) or Marc Gasol.

Dedmon should be #1 on your wish list he would be perfect can defend, rebound, protect the rim and use to be able to shoot. He is also a top notch guy and leader that communicates on defense.

Assuming Curry and Green starts, we have a very young bench outside of Scott and Howard. Besides those two bigs, our bench is 24 and younger. I would like to see us develop that young talent. You see teams like Heat and Raptors develop their young talent while still competing for championships.
Hopefully Shake and Maxey could be the playmakers off the bench. We're pretty much hoping the Maxey can be the player we hoped Fultz could become. A guard who can play alongside Ben and run the offense when Ben was off the court. Fultz WAS the better shooter coming out of college. But, I feel Maxey is the more compete player since he is a better defender coming out.

We still have our MLE. But, I'm alright with sticking with what we have for now. I do like our bench. We're really banking on Shake and Maxey to be our bench scorers. But, we definitely have some good defenders off the bench. Maxey, Thybulle, Ferguson, Howard, and Reed. We can have some real good defensive lineups that still able to score.

Don't care much for Cousins tbh. Dedmon or Gasol hopefully.

That's BS though. Free Agency started yesterday. If you and your family/agent made plans. You could of been talking to teams weeks ago. It's sneaky and uncalled for. You shouldn't be able to pull a deal. That would never happen.

I think all 3 are intriguing. Boogie because the Lakers don’t necessarily NEED a 3rd center, it’s insurance more then anything and Boogie is easily the highest ceiling of the group. If he has one playoff game where he comes in and has a big game that could decide a series.

I like Gasol simply for his passing. He’s a gifted passer, big body. I know it’s rare you need someone to “bang inside” in today’s league but he would be ideal for the few times that you might. His big body would be best suited for those high ball screens, and he’s improved his shot enough that he’s a great option to stay high and make entry passes to AD.

Dedmon is probably the safest “best fit”. Boogie might not pan out, might try to do too much, etc.. There are times Gasol is just a bit of a liability at this stage, he would need to have a rejuvenation type of year like Dwight did. I like Dedmon’s mobility, he’s added that 3 point shot, he’s long, he blocks shots, he’s basically the perfect rotation to pair with McGee because he provides similar defensive strengths.

Absolute best option to me is Baynes, but obviously price wise that isn’t happening.

I personal don't like it. I really think they need a play maker. Like a Rubio or Rondo. But that's me for the last 2-3 years now lol

Stein says the Clippers have joined the Ibaka and Gasol sweepstakes but Gasol is a more realistic target.

Garbage move by Denver. Holding a guy thinking he has a deal and then leaving him out in the cold after a lot of the money has been spent/moves have been made.
