Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
Yeah those 1 out of every 5 games where he just completely dominates the glass is just enough to make you incredibly annoyed with him in the other 4 games lol.
I like Thompson, he was huge for the Cavs championship and I expect him to be huge for Boston. They might struggle against the Lakers, Jazz, Nuggets, but for those teams out East I think he’s a huge addition for them. Still think they should be gunning for a physical guy like Baynes, if they have a spot left.
But I have never in my life watched a player who is so quick off the floor for a rebound but so slow off the floor after catching a pass or gathering himself. I swear so many times 9/10 dudes would have already dunked the ball and landed back on the floor by the time he had caught a pass, collected himself, and decided he should just go up for an easy dunk. And by then the opportunity was gone. Blows my mind.

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
Just now caught up on Tristan going to Boston.
For a fourth overall pick he never really lived up to it, but he’s guaranteed a couple games a year where he’s unstoppable on the boards and might even hit a 3 or two nowadays. Regardless, his work in game 6 was so important to us winning the title that I’ll always have love for him.
Kings aren't going to match right? They got Buddy already.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Barton will get more minutes if he can stay healthy. My only problem is that they are very young.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

That last paragraph is one of my biggest problems with him. I can’t remember the exact game (or even the series but it could’ve been game 1 in 2015) he got a rebound and had an uncontested tip in or dunk and decided to come back down with it and lose the chance. It was at the end of the game too, potentially could’ve been to take the win rather than the OT.

Playing a little fast and loose with the “3” part there with Craig lol. I’d love to have one more creator even if it’s just a pretty limited one like Austin Rivers, but we at least have a bevy of shooters off the bench now to complement the starters. I’m still pretty high on Donte potentially being able to do some creating too.
Definitely would have preferred Bogdanovic though.

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
Still a FA I believe, I was just assuming they weren't bringing him back but I'm jumping the gun. He's a nice backup guard, pretty surprised no one has scooped him up yetI think it's only bad if their young players don't step up. Each one of them showed flashes last season. PJ Dozier got heavy minutes and played good defense for them in a few of those come backs they had. Bol Bol I don't even have to mention. And finally Porter Jr who we all know...
Barton will get more minutes if he can stay healthy. My only problem is that they are very young.

Seems like an overpay for Bogdan but he's an RFA so I kinda get it

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
Not including AD, Ingram, and Bogdan, all the main dominoes of Free Agency has fell. Looked at CBS top 100 FAs, 43 of top 50 are signed(or expected to sign). Pretty much as far as Free Agency goes, all that is left is teams filling out rosters.
So, we're waiting on potential trades. What will Houston do? Will Washington move on from Wall? Potential Rozier trade?Last edited by illwill10; 11-22-2020, 03:01 PM.Comment
