The second one is dope but it's an unwritten basketball rule that we don't acknowledge Jordan's Wizards years unless we're trying to tear him down in the GOAT conversation lmao

I still can't believe he came back with the Wizards.

I was watching an old draft on NBATV and it was funny hearing new TNT analyst Charles Barkley talking to Jordan about the Wizards. I think this was 01, so Jordan was hyping up Kwame, telling Barkley not to come out of retirement and just stay on TNT.

Although, be glad we didn't live in an alternate universe where Jordan didn't become part of the Wizards front office, and instead years later invested into the new Charlotte Bobcats franchise and made his comeback as the first Charlotte Bobcat.

Doubt it, but I hope they eventually speed up draft. It shouldn't take 3+ hours because they want to get through the life stories of almost every lottery picks. I stop going on Twitter during drafts couple years. The pick tipping can get ridiculous. I don't mind it in the 2nd round, but as far first round, I don't want the "surprise" to be ruined for me

I feel like you pretty much need to be on Twitter for the NBA draft or you end up seeing like 10 picks on TV that don't make sense because the player is being drafted for a different team.

You know those always end up coming very well, lol.

Pelicans have traded No. 53 in NBA Draft to Philadelphia for cash considerations.

This would seem to be a contingency plan in case they're able to pull off a sign and trade for Lowry.

                        In what way ?

I think this is another example of all these draft picks being over valued. The Pelicans still have three picks in the 2nd round (35,43,50) and they are kind of worthless in their current situation.

At the moment, Philly isn't hard-capped, so drafting a player in the 50s isn't really important for them. But if they make a sign-and-trade, they become hard-capped and will need that incredibly small salary to help them stay under.

I can't stand this type of stuff. Wife used to always watch The Voice, American Idol, etc and I just couldn't do it. 30 seconds of singing and 30 minutes of letting us know how hard it was for them to get to this point.. I just cant lol

Which is the stupid part of the NBA draft.

Everyone including the player knows they're not being drafted by that team, so why go through all those formalities of being drafted by some other team and having your big moment being of you in a hat of a team you're not even playing for.

I like the trade. Also gives the Sixers the flexibility to pair the 53rd pick with the 50th pick to move up in the Draft or use it in a trade. I expect guys like Isaiah Joe(if he can add weight) and Paul Reed to get minutes this year. So unless Sixers do a big multi-player trade tonight, I don't know how much a rookie is going to play this year. I'm all for trading the 28th pick for a vet on the bench.

I still prefer moving the draft post Free Agency. It would change the way teams approach the draft after the first week of FA. That way, the draft starts after the league year begins and the draft trades are official
