Kevin O'Connor is saying Memphis wants to move up from #10 for Kuminga or Bouknight.

Giddey would definitely not be my choice there, though I might prefer him over Kuminga at least.

He's actually a really good passer. In the NBA he'll probably get even more looks. Think of Joe Ingles. Really good at pressure releasing those traps and just creative enough for off the bench work.

But they need shooting and Joe hits 40%+ from deep regularly. Slomo already fills that forward playmaking role and Ja and Tyus are plenty competent lead guards for the first and 2nd unit.

Sounds like they are looking to trade up again anyways.

This seems to happen all the time in sports.

99% chance a certain guy goes #1, but theres always those reports to stir up interest and debate about what if that guy doesn't go #1.

It's just so ridiculous though. Teams made that mistake with Luka. And it's pretty obvious on the court nothing has not changed. Unless Cade hasn't interviewed well. I haven't seen it yet. The only thing I could think of is Evan Mobley starts getting ratings like AD on the court. But I just can't see it.

Same seems to be said about the top 3.

I think Green only interviewed with the Rockets.

Mobley I think mainly just interviewed with the Cavs.

Raptors at 4 though seems to be interviewing everyone else.

These teams must really feel like Cade is a lock to be a future HOFer. He might be, but man it’s too early to tell IMO. What if his shooting doesn’t translate and he’s Evan Turner TyReke Evans type. Or he’s 2x sped up Kyle Anderson.

I’ve seen Luka, Roy, Penny, Hill comparisons and I just don’t quite see the natural scoring ability and instincts of those guys. And he’s not some otherworldly athlete like Grant, Penny, maybe even as athletic as Roy either.

And he doesn’t just feel like a lead all time ball in hand player who can buoy an offense with scoring and playmaking. I feel like he’ll naturally be more of a wing who gives supplemental playmaking than some full time point forward from the mold of Luka or Bron.
