I’ve been on record as saying Cam shouldn’t be traded he is 21 and clearly has improved and showed potential since being in the league. His defense is ahead of his offense which is fine with the current team.

The $ side of things is too ridiculous to be true even if the owners are avoiding the luxury tax behind the scenes. That isn’t going to be a issue next year. Cam/Hunter have 2 more years on the rookie deal. Trae / Huerter Raises wouldn’t kick in until the year after next. They are ways to save $ down the line in Moving Bogdan, Gallo or Clint.

If you look at the big picture Atlanta should be a FA destination for a basketball player. You would be telling the league after your most successful season ever. We are more worried about saving $ then winning games.

Like what he carried y'all. Why?

He has games like he did in that one where you think he is a future all star. That’s why you can’t move him you find a way to make him more consistent on offense. Why the heck would you move him for a mid 1st from OKC or NO.

Only way this makes any sense at all is if Atlanta thinks somebody in the top 4 is higher on Cam than they are one of those guys and would make that trade.

I think I heard somewhere that out of all the second round picks this year, only 5 of them are currently held by its original owner

If the Rockets badly want to move from 2 to 1, I wonder if Detroit would accept all the Rockets first rounders to move up.

I guess it might be a hot take, but if Atlanta actually can get a mid-1st for Reddish, I'd do it in a heartbeat. But I've always been low on him in general. Seems like a good opportunity to capitalize on a strong performance to end the Bucks series if they can get that sort of pick for him.

Kuminga is this year's guy where I can appreciate the potential, but I would want absolutely no part of being the team that has to try to develop him. Spending a top 5-10 pick on a guy that struggled to score from any level while also not defending or passing it well just isn't the kind of investment I want to be making. Might occasionally miss out on a good player by avoiding those types, but I think it's a losing proposition more often than not.

I do recognize it's a little weirder in this particular case since we don't really have a track record of G-League draft prospects though.

This would make sense, if ATL feels the same about him. But the issue is if you're tying to sell high on him now and move him for a mid round pick wouldn't that be a trigger for teams to know you aren't' that high on him?

Weird coming from you a Bucks fan who drafted Giannis.

Taking Giannis at 15 is different that taking a guy top 5. For every Giannis that we get there are 50 guys more like Aminu. And Kuminga has nowhere near the alien body type of upside when you take the chance on a guy with Giannis having that height, length, skill set. Unicorn territory.

I feel like IF the Bradley Beal rumors come true and he asks out that Atlanta should look at moving Gallo, Bog, Reddish, and whatever picks they want for something like Beal and Bertans.

Gallo's contract only being partially guaranteed helps Washington get off some money as they start up the rebuild. They have a solid, young guy locked up on a very fair deal, and "the next Paul George" they can start to build around.
