When Lloyd was fired one of the biggest reasons per athletic was how he handled Cam who everyone thinks he has the most potential on the entire team. So why would you then go and trade Cam a few weeks later ? You also are about to have a minute problem with Hunter and Dunn coming back soon. Bogi also has played better of late and needs more minutes. If you do the Ball trade for him then its extremely complicated with minutes even if Rondo is moved.

I said before the season on here that Cam was untouchable for me with how he played down the stretch. He hasn't been good this year and is currently hurt for another month or so. I still wouldn't trade him because he has shown enough flashes to think eventually he puts its all together. Deep down I don't think Cam will ever reach his full potential I just don't see why you would take the risk and trade him now since he is like 20.

Yeah, even though I've always been a Cam skeptic (to put it lightly) there's no point in giving up on him in fewer than two years after you spent a lottery pick on him...unless you're going for it and trading him for a relatively big name vet.

Houston can swap their 2nd for a 1st unless that first is top 9? Cant remember last time I saw that kind of condition on a trade involving a possible 2nd round for 1st round swap.

If you watch cam one nights he looks like a all star guy, the next decent and then the next look like he should be in the G league. His defense has been pretty good overall that’s ahead of his offense. Which is why you don’t need to trade him.

Yea the only way it makes sense to do is if your going full blown win now mode. Then why are you trying to trade Collins your 2nd best player ? They aren’t any star players on the market this year like a Beal and KAT.

            @wojespn

ESPN Sources: Heat and Knicks - w/ summer cap space - are reluctant to offer premium packages for Victor Oladipo, but market’s developed of capped-out teams bidding w/ young player/first-round pick combos. One thing’s become clear: Houston’s likely moving Oladipo before deadline.

I wasn't really for this move this offseason because of how well KCP played in the bubble, I don't think Vic even at his best was as switchable defensively and not even close to be as good of an off ball shooter.. However the odds of KCP reverting back to bubble KCP seem to not be all that high. He's not carried any of that into this season and aside from being a more reliable shooter I don't think he's even been better all-around than Caruso or THT.

The one advantage to Vic is he would be another playmaker when Bron or Schroder are out. They desperately need that with no Rondo.

Harrell is another guy, I think the Lakers can offer him a small raise next year but they have no way to match if a team offers him more than around 11 mil. So he's likely gone after this season and as much as they need front court depth right now they will need it less with AD playing minutes at the 5 come playoff time. Depends how easily they can get another big, but trading Harrell might make sense looking ahead to next year, especially if Bron and AD aren't expected to be themselves come playoff time. They need to bring back a player with bird rights.

Not how likely it is they will move the klutch guys though.

Apparently they've looked into Vic, G Hill, Myles Turner, and obviously Drummond in the buyout market.

I agree harell is most likely gone next year so moving him now makes sense.

The Klutch entanglement makes what would be no-brainer moves way less probable IMO.

According to the Athletic Danny Ainge asked for BOTH Trae Young and Deandre Hunter for Jaylen Brown.

A reminder that Hunter was arguably the best player on the team before he got hurt and returned last night.

I read drummond to lakers noise but I try not to get excited.

Btw why are the nets so interested in him when they have De Andre already? I don't really get it.

Boston just in some goofy trade rumors lately.

Woj says the Lakers are a sleeper team in the talks for Lowry.

Raptors aren't contending, Lowry is aging. Could KCP + Schroder + THT get it done?

That would be a terrible deal for the Lakers IMO.
