    Timberwolves get:
    #6 overall pick
    Mavericks future 1st round pick
    Pistons second round pick returned

    Suns get:
    Tayshaun Prince

    Pistons get:
    Gerald Wallace
    Zach Randolph
    #9 overall pick

    Knicks get:
    Rasheed Wallace
    Jason Maxiell
    #29 overall pick

    Mavericks get:
    Boris Diaw
    Leandro Barbosa
    #3 overall pick

    Bobcats get:
    Josh Howard
    #15 overall pick

This deal supposedly hinges on if Michael Beasley is not available for the T'Wolves at #3.

I liked it up until I saw Maxiell there. I do_not want him to go.

I don't like the idea of the Pistons trading three key players and replacing them with two players who aren't really better than them at their respective positions. And the #9 pick of this year's draft isn't going to make up for the loss of Maxiell, no matter who is available at that spot. This team doesn't need as big a shakeup as this.

Yeah I see what you mean, but I don't mind losing Sheed at this point. As much as I like him, he disappears when we need him (well all but his mouth anyway). I wouldn't feel too bad having G. Wallace's athleticism, defense and better scoring. I could live with Randolph (even though I think that's a bad piece) being on the team as long as Maxiell is still there, but not at the expense of him.

We're not going to win another chip with this team, not with this current line up anyway, unless we can make a huge move in free agency. I am pretty sure of that at this point, so why not start making moves and get another plan going? I don't know the money game but in trading away Sheed and Prince open up more room for a serious go at Brand, or does Wallace and Randolph's contracts cancel that out?

I hate Zach and don't want to see Max go. So, I hate that rumored trade.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Wallace pair playing here (Rasheed & Gerald), or Tay and Zach along with keeping Maxiell. But not Zach and Gerald together. That's too much of a shakeup.

I'm not sure of Brand's contract numbers, but Zach and Sheed's salaries are about even. The only way the Pistons can acquire Brand is through sign-and-trade though.

According to an article from the Contra Costa Times, the Pistons recently had talks with the Warriors. The trade proposal was reportedly Chauncey Billups and Rasheed Wallace for Baron Davis and Al Harrington.

First off, Zach Randolph is a joke, the only reason we bring in this guy is because we are in a panic about our rebounding, he is a black hole on offense and when you are running an offense like we are, Randolph is a terrible fit. I hope that we dont bring in Zach, I saw enough of him here in Oregon when he was with the Blazers, is it not a sign that this team got better when he left?

Personally I dont see that trade happening, there are far too many moving pieces and not enough time for all of them to get in line and come to an agreement. Detroit needs to shake things up and I dont mind seeing Rasheed go but if it involves bringing in Randolph and losing Maxiell then Im not interested.

Im not a fan of Baron Davis/Al Harrington for Chauncey Billups/Rasheed Wallace but I dont think this trade happens either. Its getting to the point where I think people are out there just making crap up to get noticed. I like Baron, dont like Harrington at all and its like trading for similar players. Baron can take over a game at times and I have my doubts that Billups can still do that but the gap between them isnt good enough to take on Harrington who is not even in the same ball park as Rasheed. Wallace may not rebound well for a big guy but Harrington isnt any better and plays zero defense, has zero post game, not going to happen.

And that's exactly what happened here. A source within the Pistons organization claims that both sides have never even talked.

As for the NBA Draft tonight, so far I've been under the impression that the Pistons will be looking for a swingman (primarily a SF) at 29, with a couple exceptions at the C or PF spots who would be chosen without hesitation. Those being Jason Thompson (Rider) or J.J. Hickson (NC State).

CDR would be a "sexy" pick but this team needs rebounding more than anything as the Celtics made obvious to everyone in the ECF

Not too sure what to think about the Pistons draft last night. All I can really think of is they did not feel anyone at 29 deserved a guaranteed 3 year deal. I have no issue if that was their thinking because they already have a very solid rotation and the longer it goes the more I believe we will see the same starters next season. Maybe 1 of these 2nd rounders will stick but if not atleast they don't owe anyone a contract and a roster spot for the next 3 years
