Here's food for thought coming from a guy who has yet to purchase this game...but..based on my experience with EA games and others:
Have you guys thought about OVER exaggerating the sliders AND attributes of the boxers to get realistic results? I've done this with EA Hockey and THQ's SVR 2011. Say Tyson has an 85 accuracy rating (or however the stats are done)....REDUCE his and ALL others by 10 - 20...don't increase them. I think increasing is the "default" thought process.
By decreasing them, you won't get the high % of connecting punches, but when you do, his power will make up for it. Right now, everyone is thinking it's the sliders that are messed up..maybe it's the boxer attributes?
This is what I did for Smackdown vs Raw 2011....I adjusted all wrestler attributes COMPARED to the "best" wrestler in the game. Basically, how would that wrestler compete against the best...I've had awesome realistic results.
Also, the sliders get adjusted to make up for the "low" attributes...so your damage slider is raised to make up for the lack of accuracy on the attribute...still giving you cut damage, but not excessive. This way, the fight is based more on attributes and not sliders.
Anyway, hope this helps...i've been reading these message boards and am on the fence with the purchase, but thought I could chime in and try and help.Comment

Accuracy - 0
Cntr Window - 0
CPU OAI - 2
CPU DAI - 10
Punch Output - 5
I'm able to keep the percentages down with speed at five...probably moreso. Guys who swell and cut easily will do so. Those with 99's like CAB's wont too quickly. Let me know what you guys think!Comment

I'm getting too many rocking punches with the power raised both by me and the AI and not enough damage still on the 360. Also with toughness cranked up, I got up 4 times with relative ease. I almost made up a 5th.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Whoa! Figured I try and adjust sliders after the patch/tuner and this last set from acts is sweet. I cut Duran in the 1st round. He cut me in the 6th. And the ref stepped in to stop it in the 9th. Yeah, I have an awesome Cooney CAB. He rarely used his right hand even though he was orthodox, but he had a Mule kick if a left hook. Ring Magazine said his left hook is the 45th most powerful punch of all time. Foreman said it was the hardest punch he ever took.
So yeah, I was fighting like Cooney, trying to lure Holmes in, but Holmes jab was winning the day. Cooney dropped him in the 2nd, but other than that the fight wasn't close.
I've got to do something with the sliders though because Damage just isn't registering and all the HW fights just feel like a race to 4 or 5 knockdowns.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Has anybody tried playing with "high punch power" and "damage", but lowered "toughness" to 0? I will try this later this evening to maybe reduce getting up from knockdowns to easily and often in each fight.
After reading some threads on EA's FN site, I really believe 1 punch ko's and damage will come back. If not I will try to get a few more achievements and always wonder what could of been, lol.Comment
