I'm a Floyd ***** but I don't know about Williams. I asked this question this before, but what about Sergio Martinez and Floyd at 154?

He's one of the few good journalists left...he actually asks questions instead of simple time-filler talking points.

I wish more people were like Merchant in every area of news/sports.

Anyway, Shane should've capitalized after the 2nd round, but he got confident and thought he could end it with a big blow instead of building up what he started. Then he got tired.

Before Floyd "retired" i would have agreed but not now...

At 154 P Will maybe too much for him but not at 147...

Floyd is not a small WW anymore, he's a legitimate 147 pounder...He came in tonight bigger and stronger than Shane Mosley...

The only reason why P Will is a threat is because of his size and reach advantage...From a skills point he doesn't offer anything more than Mosley who Floyd just dominated last night...

I'm not saying it would be an easy fight for Floyd because it won't be...Williams reach and workrate would present a serious challenge but i don't feel this is something Floyd can't overcome...

If this fight ever happens in the near future my money is on Floyd...

If Pacquiao doesn't agree to blood testing, who would Mayweather fight next?

Could he fight the winner of Miguel Cotto vs Yuri Foreman? He fought De Le Hoya at 154 a few years ago.

A Mayweather loss via KO would make my week, but not my year. Floyd's going to do better than me even if he losses his next three fights. If he made me part of his entourage he'd be my hero. LOL

I used to think Pac's intangibles could carry him to a victory against Floyd but after seeing the force/damage Clottey had against Pac with so few punches, Floyd would probably whip him good too
P.W. can still make the weight and if he gets past Cintron he's said he'll take the winner of this bout.

Floyd won't take it though. He knows he'll lose.

But who else is there? The only 'big name' around his weight class is Pacquio.
So if he's going to fight a non-name, there's no excuse to avoid Williams other than fear.

P.W fight would be a fight that I would pay to see but Floyd is turning out to be a very versatile fight and I don't think Floyd think he would lose to anyone.

Floyd gave me a flash back of Sweet Pea without the clowning in the last few rounds. We are seeing a very, very special fighter. Just enjoy.

                        $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!

Wow. Typical PBF fight...sans the 2nd round cinder block that Mosely hit him with. I've NEVER seen PBF's knees buckle. We've seen PBF get hit...but not get hurt like those 2 shots SSM hit him with in the 2nd. My jaw dropped.

But like Emmanuel, Nazim and SSM himself said...it was the absolutely the worst thing to happen for SSM as he then thought he could knock him out...which he could have. But he lost all patience...his heart rate went up and he started believing he could fly.

PBF is simply the best at what he does. He's a surgeon and probably the smartest "boxer" I've seen since I've been watching the sport.

                        Dude is a tactician.

He covered up. Adjusted. And stuck to his gameplan.

SSM had the advantage and panicked.

PBF ate him the f up after that.

Please just dead all the talk about Williams/PBF cuz it ain't happening. Floyd has 2 options...Pac or retirement. And if he retires without that fight...his legacy is intact because the going notion is that Pac is scared to fight without the Olympic blood testing.

I think...especially after last night....Pac/PBF would look alot like PBF/Hatton.

We all saw the PBF/SSM pre-fight staredown and pics. SSM looked SO much bigger than PBF.

Then in the ring...toe to toe...PBF looked like the bigger man.

Had litttle to do with being 38.

PBF won the skill game and the psychological game. And he took a punch that most said he was "dodging" for years. Even that dirtbag Merchant with his biased annoucing had to bear witness to that.

And props to PBF for acknowledging that he got hit with a good shot. Most fighters have their post-fight and say, "yeah...it didn't phase me." He was hurt and everyone saw it. And big bad cocky PBF ADMITTED it.

So give him his props haters.

He's the best at what he does...right now.

Hate him or love him...he swept a HOF'er last night for 10 straight rounds...30 minutes.

He could've TKO'd him if he wanted to.

It was worth my money last night cuz I enjoyed the fight.

He's a great fighter but Mosely is at the end of his career. As far as Pac-Mayweather being like Pac-Hatton they both fought Hatton and we know how that turned out.

                            Mosley didn't stand a chance.

All that nervous energy killed him and after those 2 bombs in the 2nd he should have settled down. He was so wild with his attack all night and PBF showed that when he wants to (3rd & 4th) he can fight any style and dominate. You can hate him all you want but if you can't respect his skill set than you need to move on to MMA.

Would be interesting, but Floyd wins. Martinez's star is white-hot now after the close loss to Williams and the win over Pavlik.

Pavlik for Martinez was Margarito for Mosley: A matchup that overinflated their status. Both Pavlik and Margarito lead with their chins and are easy to hit, making Martinez and Mosley look better than they are.

Floyd would pick Martinez apart with counterpunches, and Martinez wouldn't hit Floyd nearly as much as he did Pavlik or Williams.
