I didn't know that. Usyk must have been only partially through his growth process.

I thought the judges may have given a DRAW verdict to some rounds Duran won-19 ROUNDS were scored a draw out of 45 (15 X 3). Of course the rematch had Sugar turning the tables and was a great fight until "No Mas" was uttered.
Never heard that about Cuevas but he admittedly fought Duran in a deliberate brawling inside fight because Duran antagonized him and talked about his wife pre-fight..He wanted to punish Duran and despite his trainers disapproval he fought out of character...The amazing thing was that he actually made it close fighting Durans fight..he said he took his trainers advice during the 8th round and saw that he could outbox Duran easily but he again fell into Duran's trap...Spences blueprint for the next fight was laid out in the 1st and I believe 11th rounds where he jabbed countered and only got in range to throw body shots..Porter does a great job at hitting , then holding, then spinning his opponent around...he made the fight close on that alone..Im just not a big fan of Spence standing in the pocket his defense and reaction isn't fast enough to avoid punishment...Brook, Garcia, and Porter landed some good clean shots that a skilled fighter should have been able to parry and counter..That shot he knocked Porter down with was a perfectly timed counter..because Porter was swinging wild..A win is a win at the end of the day..Im not on board with fighters thinking they have moral victories because they kept a fight close..Porter will ride that wave but that fight took something out of both of them...

Yeah, I knew about Duran's pre-fight comments but I still think Leonard had no answer for Roberto's pressure until they brilliantly game planned for it in the second fight.

Holy crap, GGG could get stopped tonight. Not looking sharp at all and he’s been visibly hurt in a few occasions

I have it even after 7.
Dimitry has been the sharper, busier fighter with more power.
His body work is killing Triple G

GGG won the last three rounds and the fight 114-113, IMO.
But I could see it going either way.
Really tough fight and I think GGG should consider calling it a career. He didn’t look as sharp as he has in the past and I think Father Time has caught up to him. TBH, I think GGG has been on the decline for a while now.
He won the first Alvarez fight 8-4 and since then he’s lost some steam.

If he fights Alvarez in the Spring he loses convincingly.

I had GGG down by a point when the video when out early in the 9th round and by the time it came back GGG had the belts draped on his shoulder. It was a great fight-I'm PISSED.

Unless Canelo's next fight is actually legit and he gets CONCUSSED.

                    Boxing Off-Topic

Eddie Hearn claims GGG was very ill coming into the fight.
It’s hard to tell if this is typical boxing propaganda but Kenny Albert and Sergio Mora both made comments early in the fight alluding to a rumour that Golovkin was suffering from the flu and was the reason he didn’t make the IBF mandatory 170lb weight limit during Saturday’s follow-up weigh-in.
If this is legit then it would explain a lot.
But I could see Canelo/DLH jumping at the chance of a third fight after last nights lackluster performance.

GGG is of course fading, but I thought there was some legitimacy to the illness claims. He just didn't look right. And why would Golovkin and/or team suddenly float out a pre-fight sickness excuse?

Complained immediately to DAZN about my "abbreviated viewing" and have yet to hear back from them. I'll have to revisit my DAZN subscription but will wait until Canelo-Kovalez.

I probably wont be renewing when the rate goes up next year for me. It's not enough other things on the network to justify paying more. I might revisit if the get more sports. They need football or a basketball league on the american version.

Erroll's condition has just gone from serious to critical.

EDIT: Hard to say if it changed from serious or not-he might have initially been designated as in critical condition. All reports I'm hearing say he is expected to survive.

I'm in the same boat. I love having access to the MLB Network, boxing and some Bellator events.
But I'm also a hockey fan and unless they add at least an NHL game of the week, I don't think I'm going to keep it.
I have to say though, DAZN (Canada) is a goldmine for soccer fans.
And while I'm pretty ignorant about all things MMA, I have to say the Bellator cards have almost all been way more entertaining than the UFC cards I've purchased. A lot more stand-up banging.

I read that Spence didn't even break one bone? He was thrown from his Ferrari while it was rolling and didn't have a break? That's crazy!
Glad to hear he's going to make a full recovery.
