Too be fair though, Ronda could just shut up and worry about her self and stop grandstanding about Floyd. It annoys me to no end when people take legit issues like domestic violence and try grandstanding or pretending like they care about the issue for the pub. If Rousey wants to champion the anti domestic violence cause then how about coming at Hope Solo's dome every chance she gets too?

Other than the Espys line, she hasnt really brought it up. She was originally asked if she thought she could beat Floyd and she said she thinks she could because she was raised never to limit herself in anyway.

Floyd responded that he "didnt know who HE was" when asked about Ronda. Ronda countered with the ESPYs line. The media asked Floyd about Ronda again and he countered with this most recent line.

Its the press thats keeping this going. I swear I saw tens of articles about that Espys line just like I've seen a bunch about his most recent line. Also Ronda's Espy line doesnt even get said if Floyd doesnt basically call her a dude.

Its a stupid non-story that the press keeps pushing along.

Yeah, i kinda wish the media would just kill that already, but it gets views. It's so dumb how there's constant articles about rousey vs floyd in a fight as if that's actualy gonna happen, i also found it funny how roushey is quick to call out floyd and say she would fight him(when she knows that's next to impossible) but isn't that straight forward about fighting cyborg, a real fight that can happen.

Although i'd be a liar if i said i didn't get some entertainment out of it, but this "beef" is dumb and it's getting ran into the ground, they're not gonna actually fight and i get sick of people comparing the two, i also get sick of people saying "yeah ronda's a real fighter unlike floyd", that's such nonsense, she's damn good, but floyd has been around longer and accomplished muuuch more, it's not even close. It doesn't matter who you like more or not, these are facts,and they're not even in the same sport.

True, but she could have let that go. Correct me if I'm wrong but did she not "respond" to Floyd until a year later with the Espy line? At that point that's not the media keeping this going. Win your award and keep it pushing.

Why does she have to be the one that moves on? Both of them couldve moved on. Floyd could of ignored the initial comment or said something that wasnt controversial like "I'm not discussing fighting a girl or any MMA fighter because we will never fight." He decided to call her a man.

Both of them shouldve moved on because this is stupid but I think its silly to just blame Ronda when he was the one who started with the insults.

I have to object to that comment. She's very straightforward. She's stated her position consistently for the past 2 plus years.

Ronda is a champion at 135.

The UFC doesnt have a 145 division.

She has said she will fight Cyborg the minute she makes 135 in a tuneup fight.

Its that simple. She hasnt wavered from that position once.

This isnt like May/Pac where Floyd used multiple excuses (Drug testing/payout splits/not wanting to work with Arum/different networks) to delay that fight for years.

In the UFC, yes. The reason they don't have a 145 division is that it is very shallow. You have women in that divisions top 10 with records like 4-2 and 6-4. It's Cyborg and no one else.

You missed my point, i was just saying i thought it was kinda funny how she said she'd beat floyd and has no problem talking like that over a fight that won't happen(despite him being much bigger than that division) but she's still not perceived as being that eager to fight cyborg and doesn't seem to talk as reckless about a fight that can actually happen.

And i've already explained how the floyd/pac fight could of happened a long time ago and been a 50/50 split if somebody hadn't claimed they were afraid of needles.

She's been quoted tons of times about how she would beat Cyborg if they fought. She's also talked about how eager she is to fight her. She's been consistent in saying all Cyborg needs to do is make weight and the fight will happen. Cyborg is actually the one with the long list of reasons why she cant make 135.

Should be a decently interesting fight. I guess we'll really see what Pac-Man has left in the tank, if nothing else.

Anyway, should be better than the "casual friends" (Dan Rafael's words) match-up between Berto and Mayweather. I'll be really interested to see the PPV buys on that one...

Agreed! I really like Pac/Khan and I have a hard time picking a winner.
I guess with Khan's chin, anything is possible, but it's not like Pac is carrying much firepower above 140 these days.
Which brings the question; what's the weight going to be set at? 140? 147? Another catchweight?

As far as Floyd/Berto, I have less than 0 interest in that bout.
I'm really hoping Floyd picks a real opponent for his 50th fight. Thurman, Garcia,...anyone who's an actual threat.

The problem as always is Khan is a Haymon fighter and as we all know Haymon fighters dont fight on HBO and dont fight Top Rank fighters (except for May/Pac which was an outlier).

Pac is an HBO fighter and a Top Rank fighter so this fight isnt likely to happen. There is a better chance that Pac fights someone like Terence Crawford in his comeback fight.
