Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
Actually, an armbar from mount is easier to submit someone with than a rear naked choke. The same hierarchy shown in that pyramid of ground positions applies to subs as far as I'm aware: Mount --> Back Control --> Side Control or North/South --> Half Guard Up --> Half Guard Down --> Open Guard Up --> Open Guard Down
Not sure where Offensive Sprawl fits into that, but FWIW, it's been pretty easy to submit people with Guillotine Chokes in my experience, probably just as easy as a rear naked choke from back control.
I basically never press the buttons to initiate subs or break out of them (used if a few times with Rampage for brute force escapes)... I might try it sometime with a more technical guy, but I have great success with the shine... I've only been submitted online once I believe (thanks DaKKoN) and it was due to a countered Judo sweep to rear naked choke... I didn't even know what was happening until it was too late.Last edited by Stumbleweed; 06-03-2009, 02:17 PM.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
I have a gapping hole in my game and that’s in the clinch. I’ve had it done to me so I know it exists but I can’t figure out how to defend or counter the takedown in the clinch. I played a judo specialist and he kept tossing me on my head, Any tips would be much appreciated.Comment

In fact one time while blocking i put a guy directly into a guillitine choke after he tried to throw me. I think only wrestling has the choke as a block but im not sure.Comment

Re: OS Official UFC Undisputed Strategy and Help Thread
Is anyone playing on the PS3. Not sure if it is any different, but the ground game is getting to be pretty ********.... I can hold back the RS all day and the computer just passes my guard all day long. Even when they shoot I hit the RS back to avoid and it works like 5% of the time maybe. If I am on top the computer counters every match and always ends up in mount. I can knock people out, but I'm only playing on experienced and no matter who I am or who the computer is or what I do I get crushed on the ground. I'm doing everything right, but It's like the randomness of the game is really dumb and starting to wear on me. Also online is a joke, there is atleast a one and a half second lag... Online is just me being fed up. But please help on the ground game! Or I like the game's goin on the shelf.Comment

Also, the absolute best way to defend the single-collar tie and non-whip MT Clinch attacks is to flick RS to "catch" the punch/knee just like you do when standing. Wait until they start spamming the uppercuts and then flick up (or down if they're going with kicks or low punches) and you'll reverse the clinch, which is especially useful for MT guys. It works every time and now that tactic plays right into my hands...
I have more problems with the MT clinch whip knees, but flicking RS right as they grab you seems to get you out of it most of the time. However, it seems that once you've been successfully whipped, the chances go way down and you pretty much have to block a few and then try flicking the stick again when they're cuing you up.Last edited by Stumbleweed; 06-03-2009, 04:45 PM.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Any of the CAF's can get over 100 of a certain skill. I fought someone online who had 115 kicks and all he did was try and throw headkicks at me. He was gassed after a minute and I took him down and submitted him with a kimura.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

fought a guy just like that. He was 6'6" too but I KO'd him with Machida. Constantly caught his head kicks and took him down. Dude did not throw any punches or any low kicks, ALL head kicks. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx
