Six would be enough for sure.

January - New Years' Smash. Just make it a PPV to set the tone for the new year.
    March- Revolution
    May - Double or Nothing
July- PPV centered around Blood & Guts being the main event
    September - All Out
November - Forbidden Door? Tried to place it where it wouldn't be too close to Double or Nothing or too close to the G1. I guess this would be too close to Wrestle Kingdom but it would make it easier to build feuds leading into WK if you have AEW talent wrestling on that show.

      - bleeding in the crowd
      - weapons or projectiles in the crowd
      - taking drinks or food from guests in the crowd
      - physical contact with the crowd

Also, medical and coaches must approve of...
      - spots and bumps on the ring apron and outside
      - table/ladder/chair spots in and out of the ring (only allowed with padding)
      - any elevated spots outside of the barricades (dives and ladder spots on stage, around the arena, and other places outside of the ring)
      - All piledriver/tombstone variations including sit-down drivers, inverted/poison hurricanranas, and vertebreakers
      - High-risk dives or top rope moves (450, 630, double moonsaults, SSP, etc.)
      - Intentional bleeding (of any sort, not just blading)
      - Throwing people into/through/over ring steps, commentary tables, bell tables, or guardrails/barricades

Jon Moxley is about to be water downed like he was in WWE. I love how that list basically says every match in AEW needs approval. I know you can't do most of these in WWE too but still... it's basically taking the fun out of AEW.

"Any physicality involving referees, managers, extra, celebrities or special guests."

They saw Aubrey Edwards and Karen Jarrett in a tag match and said please don't do that ever again. LMAO

They should just go ahead and give Mox a general exemption since he's doing it anyway.

People might hate it, but that seems to be the price to pay if you want to have a wrestling company that's big.

I'd imagine at least a few rules came from higher up's (not Tony, but more like Turner or WB?). Once corporations start getting involved, it's more about having a certain image and doing things a certain way.

I think the other thing this will help will be to keep spots from being repeated throughout the card.

That has been an issue on occasion.

Well in this case, there is a loophole…

                  Mox is a coach lol

The 2/3 falls match on Collision had me wondering about some rules.

Titles can't change hands via dq or count out in a normal match, and you can lose falls via countout or dq in a 2/3 falls match, but what if the champs lose one or both falls that way, do they technically retain the titles?

And this match had a time limit. What if the champs were down 1-0 when time expires, they still retain the titles?

I would say 100% yes, but they would never actually do a time limit finish like that so we'll never know.

I'm pretty sure I watched an old Steve Austin match from WCW Saturday Night in 1992, and he retained his TV title on a time limit draw while trailing 0-1 in falls. Tony Khan loves that style and that era but ironically he would probably never do a finish like that. Same with a "Dusty finish."

Really hoping they stay with the limited amount of PPV's every year. 6 maximum should be the most. I don't want 12 PPV's every year as they won't be able to build up story lines and feuds. Everything will feel rushed unless you get everyone fighting on four PPV's in a row.

The FTR/White and Robinson match was amazing. Would have preferred to see them go to a 60 minute 1-1 draw. I know White isn't going to do the job but I like Robinson and he doesn't need to job every time. A draw would have avoided this and still led to the same result - FTR retaining.

I love that they have all these rules yet Blood & Guts is this Wednesday. lol

Apparently Bret Hart wanted to work backstage in AEW as a producer but AEW declined due to wanting him only as an on screen character (basically a manager like Jake, Arn, Tully did).

I'd imagine he didn't want to do a job like that in WWE because Vince or HHH would be his boss.

I'm surprised nobody's has had Bret work behind the scenes for them. Sure he is old school, but he definitely seems like someone who wants to help the next generation. Surprised he hasn't been part of a wrestling school either.

That's disappointing. AEW should want these guys backstage. Have some veteran presence. And to be honest, I think Jake, Arn, etc. shouldn't be on screen at all in my opinion. They're done and they can barely move. But backstage, they're worth a lot more in my opinion than they could ever be on screen at this point of their respective careers.

I feel like it was more like "we'll be paying you X no matter what, so might as well have you on TV bringing in ratings and attention than just being backstage"

Bret being a coach (or whatever) backstage seems like an obvious "yes."

But then you think about the politics involved, and how outspoken/critical Bret has been of a lot of people over the years. Like, is he on good terms with Martha Hart at all? I know he's buds with FTR and Punk. It's one thing to be a manager on-screen, but it's an another to be seen as pseudo "office."
